  • Usual bits and a tiny bit of spec work

25 minute walk getting dinner from Aldi (cheese pizza with added onion)

40 minute walk going to Crack Converters to see if they'd buy the iPad: £20 whoohoo, in your face Cex. AND they were much nicer and a whole different level of professional.
Will do £10 off I.O.ME and £10 to holiday fund.
Found a couple of plant pots

Got £11.57 from ziffit so paid myself back £1.57, and the ten to flat pot

Half hour carpet walk watching free online lecture

Knackered today, looking forward to a glass of red wine and an early night!

😂 thanks for reminding me I'm less classy and financially worse off than @Sun_Addict's dog @Blackcats

Btw I just finished reading London Belongs To Me by Norman Collins and really enjoyed it despite not being sure if I would, if anyone fancies a random recommendation

P.S. today's mse medal goes to Mr PIP who spotted four bottles of proper nice Chianti each reduced from £9.50 to £3.42, so worth checking out your local Tescos in case they're doing a clearance branch-wide

  • Not a very productive day as period started and I have been feeling lousy but tried to do basics in between reading and resting, and...

25 minute walk getting fruit from Aldi
Got the last bottle of reduced wine from Tesco

    Receipt survey

    Survey

Emergency £100 pot had £5.49 in interest so withdrew that to current account towards paying myself back

Had a feeling there was a coin I'd found on the street in my handbag so checked and it was a whole 5p, so have taken that off my I.O.ME

Got £11.50 from Vinted, took £1.50 for my I.O.ME and ten to flat pot.
Feels a bit of a cheek but since these things are my things which I owned and I put the time and energy into selling I am allowing a bit of skimming to help me towards not feeling more anxious skint than usual

And with that £10, my flat pot is over the 5k mark! Only £95,000, as long as no savings are spent on build, and we're able to get a mortgage, to go to get somewhere tiny and sh*t in a sh*t area, whoo! 😂🎉

Mum is coming round for dinner this evening, and I am as always grateful for the existence of pasta sauce in a jar

That does not sound like a day JUST doing the basics to me.  I haven't had a period since 1993 thankfully, when I was saved from 10 day periods every 21 days.  Then HRT until my mid/late 60s, I know someone still on patches in her mid 70s but they wouldn't let me unfortunately.

🤣🤣 She’s not been happy since I ran out of MB and started using Imperial Leather 🤣🤣 So if you win she’d appreciate you throwing one her way 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Thank you for your support @badmemory but I have rather made a long post out of fifteen minutes transferring a few quid 😁

Your periods sound ghastly and I'm sorry you weren't allowed to continue with the HRT you wanted. At some point in women's existence maybe we'll be able to opt for our own decisions about what is best for our bodies, lives, and wellbeing, but ain't gonna happen any time soon 🙄

If I win that @Sun_Addict I'll be sitting in a darkened wardrobe hissing 'my precious' but the dog is welcome to join for snuggles!
  • Very little else has been done but I *have* finally, after months (and months) switched over to Mr PIP's old phone so that is quite enough achievement for one day

5k flat pot mark yesterday, phone switch today, if I can not wake up with period pains tomorrow I will consider that a hat trick of a weekend

Had a lovely evening catching up with a best friend, although it has made me envious of people with difficult life decisions to make that involve having an actual home to sell!

Hope everyone's had a marvellous Saturday night

The build up to switching phones is such a palaver.  What if I lose this, what if that gets messed up??  So well done to you for taking the plunge and doing it.  Enjoy your new to you phone.
Amazing achievement on the flat pot total - your diary chronicles how hard you've worked to get to such a great milestone.
