  • No huge coughing fits in the night, though woke up in the morning with one.

Throat hurting which I'm interpreting as a sign of healing. DEFINITELY. Got some darker mucus too which I'm hoping is whatever is blocking ears/sinuses gradually coming out 🤞

Still deaf. This is even more annoying as one of the potential jobs I could be doing involves listening to audio, which I can't bloody hear even with headphones/speaker

Very tired today. Think I might have to alternate days I can go out for a walk if I have to do other things too. Had hoped to feel well enough to do a longer walk to substandard Lidl and use coupons that run out today but just don't have the energy.

Oh and my shoulder blade massively hurts from, no idea

Sorry that this diary is just even more whinging than usual, thank you everyone for your continued support/tolerance

I have done admin comping tidying, invoiced for previous big job, and done a receipt survey

Now waiting for today's work to be sent over, better not have a little lie down but very much looking forward to one!

Mr PIP and I have decided that we'll go for a posh meal to celebrate being back together when we eventually are as it's not like we've spent much this month having not seen each other! So that's something to look forward to, I just hope it isn't too far away

  • The meal sounds like a lovely thing to have to look forward to PiP - good idea. Alternating on the walking days also sounds like a good plan - mind you one of the things that's always really irritated me about getting any sort of virus is the need to gently ease back into normal levels of exertion afterwards. Honestly - they make us feel like poo, then haven't even got the decency to just back away once we finally get them on the run. nasty vindictive things, viruses.

  • Did my work, waiting for the next bit to come in this evening then an early start tomorrow- hope I hear the alarm clock 😁 (Not actually worried, I'll wake up enough times anxious about not waking up!)

I am knackered, glad I sacked off the idea of attempting a walk

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a two night London hotel stay but also a pair of decent boots

Did the weekly coop receipt survey

Going to have a glass of red wine and pat myself on the back for a very tiring day, but not literally as my shoulder has started hurting.

Hope everyone is having a nice 14th of February and celebrating being halfway (plus one day) through the month to March 🎉

Ahhhh - you're feeling better enough to be looking forward to winning things! I'm calling this as good news! xx

Ps - I'm heading to GBBF Winter - or the National Winter Ales Festival as it really should still be called - at Burton on Trent on Saturday!

  • I'll be back to properly sulking about winning nothing in no time @EssexHebridean 😂
Have a wonderful time. If anyone so much as sneezes, have them ejected and banned from all future events

  • One coughing fit in night
    Sore throat
    Still deaf
    Still can't think properly
I must be better as mum says my eyes have stopped looking funny today (I get giveaway 'ill eyes'). If this could be relayed to the rest of my body that would be fab

Up on time and work done and sent
    Admin comping tidying
    Lidl receipt survey

    Some small other things:

Got my £100 premium bonds win- and having remembered that on starting this diary I said one of my priorities was an LPAs pot then like an idiot promptly forgot all about it, started a new pot with that

Got £50 from Y surveys so sent that to flat pot (yay) minus tax money (booo)

15 minutes walking on the spot whilst reading

Small hoover for dust irritation prevention

Work signed off so had a walk since it's such a nice day. 40 minutes, to local bookshop. They didn't have any of the items on my list but I got a book for mum's birthday in a few months

Then it was feeling so spring-like I went for a pint in a pub garden on my way back! I was most impressed with my daring. Quite nice being partially deaf, people are annoying 😂

Back and bits and bobs of admin, including sending a huffity reply to Norstat about their survey not letting me continue, having spent the entire allocated time clicking on pointless pictures

Ate an entire bowl of pasta which I'm pleased about but was tiring, and knee is out of place and aching which is also tiring

Going to have a very early night, I have worn myself right out!
Hope everyone has a lovely eve before Friday (wrote 'Friday eve' and had to stare at it for a while to work out why it didn't make sense 😁) x

  • Thank you @KajiKita, I am very excited to believe that I might be a normal (by my standards) person again very soon! Albeit with a midday/5pm/9pm bedtime and a hearing trumpet, but I did say by my standards 😁
  • Quite tired today after my exciting day yesterday even after nearly 12 hours sleep, but no work or commitments today so will just try to take it easy. Definitely need a shower and hairwash, and a small walk would be nice. Hoping today is the day to see Mr PIP... it's been three weeks which is just too long, though I am not going to be much fun! Can't believe how long I've been proper unwell.

I know I'm still a bit unwell as I couldn't be bothered to send a grumpy email to Y surveys about being chucked out at 20% through. Why can survey providers not just ask the key question at the start, there's no point in me saying I can see an elephant on a Thursday and have read a book this week if they only want left handed people who've worked on an oil rig in 1994 to answer the bloody thing

Still a bit of a sore throat but no coughing fit until I woke up, still deaf

    Things so far this Friday:

    Yougov survey

    Admin comping tidying

    Opiniumium survey

    Lidl receipt survey

Entered the National Book Tokens competition having made my purchase yesterday, fingers crossed for £500

Going to make myself have a little lie down and read rather than ploughing on, while I regain energy for shower
