I do like a pastry, especially at the moment where I just want easy comfort food to stuff in my face, and the forsaken one was an apple turnover which is practically healthy 😁
But a random pastry is not enough temptation to make the effort of going to a shop for, especially if one's local Lidl has rudely closed down, and I don't feel like I'm missing out on money saving because despite them costing the best part of a quid, in my head a pastry costs 30-40p max and it's not my problem if they've overpriced them
(PIP's top mse tip for the day; just live in the past and refuse to pay for blatant nonsense. You're welcome 😁)2 -

I've let one lapse (, syrup filled yum-yum) and given a Portuguese custard tart to a friend. This offer isn't working for me sadly1

Apple turnover dI go for. (Assuming I'm in the area) but a syrup filled yum-yum? No.1

Not too much coughing in night, though that was partly me desperately cough-repressing so as to not disturb Mr PIP
Still tired and deaf!

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a London hotel stay but I would also like a 'cheese bar' voucher- or would I? I mean, cheese always good, but I'm slightly concerned by all the stories from Japan about sushi terrorism, is a cheese bar hygienic? How does it work? I'm intimidated in advance 😁
As Mr PIP was able to accompany me, we did a one hour round walk- I would have felt too vulnerable by myself. I'm very proud of the steps although knackered now (also broke up the journey with beers, using Camra discount).
We went to Savers and got lots of toiletries for cheaper than elsewhere, including my period medication medication for so much less than other places. Ner ner to you pharmacy from a few weeks ago trying to charge £4 more
Also found 6p
Dinner was using up leftovers, and made myself conjure up the energy to make a salad too so as not to get behind with fruit & veg through tiredness.
I am so pleased with what I've been able to do today but I've learnt now with this virus that having a 'good' day doesn't mean you're getting better, it means you'll feel absolutely awful the next day, so though there's a long to-do list tomorrow I will try to give myself permission to rest. Bloody bored of having to answer to a stupid virus though. P*** off, virus!
Hope everyone is having a warm and cosy Sunday evening x

Good idea to have a rest day tomorrow 👍 Do you think your health conditions have contributed to this virus outstaying its welcome?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

No idea @Sun_Addict, as medical practice doesn't deign to investigate why so many women suffer so badly from periods let alone chronic pain conditions, I doubt I'll ever hear any expert information regarding the minutiae of interactions with broader illnesses! Sorry if I sound cross, it's just that, I am 😂 But not with you, thank you for asking.
As much as it's been dreadful and is lingering, I don't think it is actually that long for a horrid virus, if you get a bad 'un then they do last a few weeks and take a few more to recover from. As @foxgloves mentioned, people tend to think flu is a bad cold but flu and other 'similar' viruses are in a whole nasty category of their own and there's nothing anyone can really do to prevent occasionally getting hit by one.
I am demanding immunity from everything for at least a decade though 😁
Btw, I hope you've had a wee glass of wine as I am very stuck on a crossword clue...

Fairly happy with the C, think the second letter of the first word might be O but can't justify it so may be wrong0
