Did the walk and turned 20 minutes into 25, and used the voucher and got the long awaited salt and vinegar crisps- alas I have not won the comp prize, but I do have delicious crisps
Also got a small lindt bunny to enter that comp, and if we don't win, we have delicious chocolate
Did my receipt survey straight away 😁
Small bit of work
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning an antique milking stool with throw blanket. For keeping warm while you're milking your agèd cow, obvs.
I am also intrigued by the Creme Egg competition that's for a 'random prize'. Full respect to them if it's nothing to do with creme eggs and they send out a pair of 20 denier tights and last year's Beano annual
Got paid for the complex big job I had to do with brain fog in between naps so very pleased they a. paid quickly and b. didn't come back saying 'we're not paying for this, it is gobbledygook'.
Put share in tax pot
Cancelled bargain beer subscription. They were trying to lure me with another deal but as I couldn't really hear what they were saying it didn't tempt me. Thanks mse whoosh ears!
15 minute carpet walk whilst reading
Did another receipt survey
Mr PIP is on his way over from work so we'll stay in and have a beer and catch up here, and dinner is defrosted bolognese (thanks mum several weeks ago!) with spaghetti.
Then I expect a rather early night 💤

@PiP, it sounds as though you are slowly returning to the human race. You deserve a competition win for having been so poorly.
F x2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (36/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 6.5kg/30kg

Aw thanks @foxgloves. Such a relief to feel better than I did, but now I'm impatient to feel actually better! Slightly anxious about being able to hear properly again though, it's going to be so loud.
If I didn't feel disoriented and exhausted from whoosh ears this would be an ideal time to go and stay at Mr PIPs without being as affected by Mrs Clomp upstairs 😁3 -
I’m just catching up and am very glad to see you may be coming out the other side of the nasty virus.I used to comp a lot and won some very, very random things. The empty tin was quite a low, along with a pina colada scented candle that was so strong all the dogs in the village must have had migraines for weeks! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

My WW and friends diary is here 😁 …

Thanks @WinterWarrior, definitely on the mend (*touch wood*!) but it'll be a relief to get back to only constantly whinging about everything else 😂
Those are some VERY random wins. Was there meant to be something in the tin? Did a local hungover dog eat the contents? So many questions...2 -
Up at a normalish time, tired but excited after yesterday having been my first full day up for nearly a month, like some heroic Olympian.
Slept for 11 hours, could've done more!
Only minor coughing fits, hooray. Still deaf, bah

Bit of work
Tried to make sense of the Nationwide Start to Save account now the cash-winning draws have ended but no sense was forthcoming so have just noted in my diary to see if direct debits continue then make a decision about whether to withdraw based on interest rate
The weekly co-op receipt survey. Fortunately I'm not accumulating any more as I'm not shopping with them now they've got rid of members points
20 minute walk going for beer with Mr PIP using Camra discount. Really looking forward to being able to do bits and bobs of walks throughout the day or a big walk for the pleasure of it/getting a very productive task done
Estate agent I'm on the mailing list for has sent me one of their regular emails 'matching my requirements'. Super excited to see the garden attached to this top floor flat, though think I'll have to give it a miss as it's only got a 'family bathroom' and I'd like people I'm not related to, to be able to use the facilities, and it's not very mse for me and Mr PIP to get married just to both be allowed to use the loo
(One of the top things that get my goat is companies and politicians bandying the word 'family' around. Grr and grr again)
A Y survey for £2
Mr PIP has uploaded our entry into the lindt tesco competition- my phone contract doesn't allow texts into comps, which is annoying but probably a good thing (as long as Mr PIP can enter for us 😁). Very much looking forward to winning 5k
Mr PIP is making cheesy potatoes for dinner, with onion in them and salad on the side
Another full (ish) day of being up and doing things so will try not to be too giddy with excitement and get to bed at a sensibly early (ish) time.
Tomorrow's to-do list has a few intimidating things on that have all been shunted to the 'when you're vaguely better' pile, from the 'didn't want to do it when I wasn't unwell' pile. If I can pick one and at least make a start that will be a good achievement

Glad you are gradually improving - your sense of humour never entirely left you but it's definitely back with a bang (you won't be able to hear the bang though)
Wouldn't it be funny/annoying if the milking stool was your first competition win? Unless you are including a small cow shed in your garden planting plan in which case it would be perfect and save you lots of effort scouring North and South London searching for an aged milking stool.
your mum is a star - cauliflower cheese will definitely be helping you feel better. I used cauliflower in a biryani tonight but really the best use for a cauliflower is ..... cauliflower cheese.

😂 @Blackcats you're right, I absolutely won't be able to hear it. Though I can hear the workmen across the road beeping their effing van every day, but not what anyone is saying or where I am in relation to anything on the street! Can't help feeling I've got a bad deal here!
And I am fully crediting my mum and her cauliflower cheese for my recovery.
Thank you for your encouraging words. Not about the comping milk stool 😁 I love my imaginary milk stool and my imaginary cow that for some reason lives in a very small garden in East London, in a hopefully not imaginary couple of years time. I expect it'll be an East London hipster cow, slumming it with the likes of me for working class kudos (*moodos? Yeah, press send*)3 -
A mere nine hours sleep. Disgraceful 😁
Up and a bit of work
Very ars*y email to Y for letting me do ten minutes of a survey before deciding I wasn't the right demographic. TEN MINUTES!

Receipt survey. So near the end of the pile!
Ars*y email to Norstat for their survey continuing beyond the stated time and suddenly going on to a company wanting to use the computer webcam. No ta, especially not for about 20p. Got a reply saying they'd feel exactly the same 😂
Sorted the old flowers from Mr PIP so as to get another 'new' bunch from the less obviously past their best ones
Got rejected from a market research study for earning under 20k a year. Best of luck to them finding enough participants earning more than that who either aren't at work when the research meeting is or who choose to give up the bulk of their day for a wee voucher
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a £200 Sainsburys voucher but I would also like some nice jewellery
Thought I should really set up the 'new' laptop! Seems to have gone okay, some annoying features but I'm sure I'll get used to them. It's back in the box awaiting a trip to South London at some point
30 minute carpet walk whilst reading, I am not going out in this weather unless I have to!
Dinner will be the leftover half of my M&S voucher meal with added veg, already prepped so I can't decide I'm too tired to do the veg part

Love the Norstat response - that’s class! 😂👏
That sounds like quite a positive and productive day to me 😊
