In force? This is my early morning not wine thinking 🥱
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Precisely no idea on the crossword clue - so something? No something? No idea (no, that's clearly not it!)

Delighted to hear you sounding so much like yourself and yes - I rather think that we do all tend to underestimate how long viruses can linger about for. My pet hate is people announcing they've "got flu" - no - you're upright and mostly  functioning, I think you will find you have a cold! (And if you did have flu, frankly I would prefer that you stayed at home and didn't amble about giving it to lots of other people, so there!)

Good work on the CAMRA discount and hurrah for seeing Mr PiP. Oh - and well done past you for the pizza thing too!

Excellent crossword work once again @Sun_Addict! My thought process was barking entirely up the wrong tree on that one

Thanks @EssexHebridean. I was also thinking 'so' something , and I fully agree on the flu thing- if you're well enough to be out and about complaining, you ain't got flu pal!

If you put the clue into google, it brings up several sites which provide the answer and how it is reached.
  • Thanks @Pollie but I would feel like I was cheating myself, whereas asking @Sun_Addict is an entirely different thing 😁
  • Monday's not much doings:

12 hours sleep with an hour in the middle of the night for coughing and stressing

    Admin comping tidying
Receipt survey (do not let me build up such a big pile again, it is so tedious!)

Had a lie down. Annoying but necessary. I know I always complain about being tired but this is next level feeling wiped out.
But did some reading which is of course extremely productive 😁

20 minute walk, and added another five minutes
Went mad and got the Aldi wine that's 10p dearer as it's much nicer

Seem to be rather short of money for the rest of this month which is odd as I've been asleep for most of it. It's only on my written budget so must just be a miscalculation but mildly perplexing

Cleaned the soap dish. Has it been on my to-do list for weeks? Yes. Did it take 30 seconds? Also yes.

Mum has volunteered to make cauliflower cheese for dinner, and was most pleased with your thanks for inspiring you to make it too @Blackcats

    Hopefully more energy tomorrow 🤞
  • A few flurries of small activity yesterday evening:

    Little opiniumium survey

Cut my nails before they got ridiculous

Unfollowed a big account on Insta for posting your instead of you're

Today in shock news I'm feeling very tired.
Woken up once in the night with coughing- technically twice but the second time I just decided to get up in the hope that having a normal day will trick me into being better

Joints achey and still deaf and knackered though so we'll see. Already resisting going back to bed and it's not even 11am!

    Admin comping tidying
    Receipt survey

Attempted quarter wussy situps. Might need to wait another couple of weeks on this!

Turned my nose up at a Yougov survey that was £2 for 30 minutes. I'll do it in the unlikely event I have nothing else that needs doing

    Shower and hairwash

    Laundry

Blimey it's getting chilly again soon, 0 degrees in London on Friday! Glad I'm not one to cast my clout

Next to do is a small walk and hopefully use my £2.50 Tesco voucher in a useful manner

Would also be good to do some small spec work but if I need to prioritise a lie down, I mean, a productive session of getting nearer to ziffit sales, then so be it. Would be nice to have a proper day of doing things though...

  • Thanks @beanielou, obviously I'd give that advice to anyone else but when it comes to myself I get suspicious of lollygagging 😁

Feeling like there's been far too much plod and no push lately, I know one can't help being unwell but as someone with meagre money in the first place I'm disappointed to not have added even a few pounds to the flat pot. I would say 'must try harder' but I have been trying hard! 😭

Still, I expect I'll win all the money and hampers very soon so that'll help
