Only woke twice coughing!
Still exhausted and almost completely deaf
Just trying to work myself up to doing this complex job. It would be so helpful to be able to hear myself think.
Ah well, 64,000 employees are just going to have to learn about a new phase in corporate implementation via the global brand's dynamic new slogan 'probably best to have a little lie down'

I've been doing thinking. I wouldn't recommend it. But work done for now, tomorrow need to focus on the Tues/Weds/Thurs job. Bit scared in case my brain doesn't function well enough but I have faith in it.
Had hoped for a small walk or a shower or even both but thinking was quite enough activity for today.
Also got my £40 joining gift voucher from Lebara which is exciting (I haven't been up to much, okay 😁). Don't know what to opt for, the options are Amazon, M&S, Argos or Just Eat. Definitely not Just Eat. Probably not Argos as I'd tend to buy household bits there and we don't have one yet. So Amazon or M&S...

"Probably best to have a little lie down" is a definite overarching, underpinning strategic intent and as a mission statement has the unique opportunity to become the true north of an inch wide, mile deep, top down, bottom up approach. And wash your mind out with carbolic soap if you had any untoward bottom up thoughts!
well done on battling through today2 -
So sorry to hear re your ongoing illness. I am a big fan of steaming - hot water and a towel over your head .. you dont need to add anything and it can be done hourly .. can help slowly clear the chest.
I also use NeilMed sinus rinse kits when I need to keep my chest/nose/throat from being infected. You can do it once or twice or more a day - bottle costs about £22 with lots of sachets and then you can buy the refills sachets after - it stops everything getting reinfected..
Maybe do your work in 90 mins stints and then rest..DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @Blackcats. Hopefully virus things will improve and thinking will become easier. Do they still make carbolic soap? (My autocorrect changed that to Catholic soap which isn't too far off given the context 😁)
Thanks also @LadyWithAPlan, happily (touch wood) chest has remained clear. Absolute pain about the Lidl isn't it, another Sainsburys Local has opened near to me, apparently another Sainsburys Local is opening up the road, so that'll be five within ten minutes walking distance but sod those of us who actually need to buy actual food for normal prices. The nearest Lidl is nearly an hours round walk, and not near any decent pubs so not going to be going there unless there are multiple amazing offers and Mr PIP can help me carry stuff. What's your new shopping plan?2 -
Yes sains and tesco not cheap - Coop does decent YS offers on a sunday - There is an aldi about 15+ min the other direction ...so I will be haunting that .. but a pain .....and maybe will start buying more frozen veg at Iceland.. But I loved my local Lid FR Chickens...
Glad you feeling betterDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

You sound a bit brighter today plus you’ve been thinking so hoping this means you’re finally starting to feel a bit better 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hoping so @Sun_Addict, though the thinking wasn't optional 😂 If I can just get through the next few work days and no other work comes in then I can sleep for a week and hopefully shift this virus altogether but very much hoping it b****** off of it's own accord before then. Good thing I'm not someone who's sentimental about Valentine's Day!3

Much the same coughing and deaf and knackered-wise.

Waiting for work to be sent over. Will attempt a shower and hope it doesn't tire me too much.
Absolutely sick of being ill and I'm really missing Mr PIP and I want my life and my head and my sleep back. Never thought I'd be pining for my usual levels of lacklustre energy and ability. P*** off, virus
