Countrywide at Rushmere Retail Park, Bletchley (Wickes+Halfords). No Entrance/Private Land sign that I could see here, but there are a good number of these signs. If you can read the small white-on-blue section, a 'collection fee' is in fact stated: £60..

No chance of getting the double recovery fee! That's not prominent.

Hidden terms - especially onerous terms - are unenforceable.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A sign from the odd and questionable set up of 'Regent Parking' who are a 'rookie PPC training' firm and unlikely to be the Creditor in cases where they've just let some random chancer use their signs:

    IMG_1079.jpeg

Absolutely unreadable small print at the bottom and the size of font alongside the pictograms is also far too small for an outdoor sign to form fair and prominent contractual terms and obligations.

No idea if that small print is the mandatory GDPR blurb or whether it might be murmuring on about an imaginary extra cost or 'debt recovery fee', but none of it is legible.

    Taken from this thread:

    UKCPS sign from this thread:

    IMG_1118.jpeg

Despite the fact that users of the site can use a keypad to claim extended time, the sign is silent about the tablets that UKCPS have installed and pretends that there is a 'set in stone' 90 minute stay. In really small print!

So there is no 'relevant obligation' that could have been breached. Most of these signs (from other operators) mention keypads and the need to type in your VRM but UKCPS don't, so how would a customer who went straight to a table know about a hidden tablet by a till?

Also nothing specifies the false 'debt recovery' fee, which is really double recovery, that automatically bloats the eye-watering charge to £170 on day 29. How would the driver know?

Not part of the contract then, and double recovery of the same heads of cost is illegal.

    From this thread:

Premier Park sign at Purley Cross retail park:

Nothing about any added double recovery (the false fee that kicks in on day 29)..

SABA have been busy down at Bletchley railway station with many shiny new signs including misleading graphics for the short stay (looks like 10 minutes) and some for the disabled bays requiring drivers to register their badge in order to park for free, a requirement which is not immediately obvious.

Smart parking still showing BPA membership at a McDonalds near Dartford.

"Failure to pay the charge may incur further costs.." but those costs are not stated.

There's a lot to digest if a driver turns into London Northwestern Railway's poorly-surfaced "ATION CAR ARK ORTH" in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire (LNWR & saba). Whilst negotiating the pot-holes on entry you have no less than 8 separate signs to digest..
Should the driver be in an electric car, and wishing to charge, there is a convoluted signed route to follow to find the electric parking bays (but only one of the two bays appears to be in service). Once at the bay LNWR/saba instruct you to "read carefully this sign and the terms and conditions sign(s) displayed elsewhere in this area" - I wonder how far that "area" extends? They state that by remaining, (you) agree to all these conditions..
