Sign taken from a recent thread about BridgePam. £100 is 'in big' but…

Nothing contractual about the added double recovery £70 'fee' that they all unexpectedly inflate the PCN by on day 29 because their Trade Body invented it.

UKPC have replaced the faded signs at Grovebury retail park, Leighton Buzzard, Beds (shown on p.101 of this thread).

Terms broadly similar, though the leaving site term now includes a line about not using facilities.

But for part of the sign they have now chosen to use white-on-orange which was totally unreadable at that time of the evening. It was even beyond my ability to get a clear photo with a mobile phone camera.

Their favourite overnight restriction is still there in small print (saves them closing the barrier whilst keeping PCN income flowing no doubt) though this now mentions registering (which the old signs didn't).

That white on orange on a sign up on a pole above your head is impossible to read!

NCP are in administration now but the below image of a sign taken from this thread, apparently shows a car park t&cs:

CRA 2015 anyone? Prominent terms? LOL!

And apparently, this UKPC sign high up on a pole in the dark, also tries to create a contract:

    Taken from this thread:

No idea what the terms are, what sum the 'agreed' £PCN is meant to be.

Nothing remotely readable about the fake added £70 that will kick in as 'extorting money from motorists' on day 29.

    Hopeless.

Two very faded signs in Tesco Fakenham car park. All the signs were very faded and difficult to read.

Euro Car Parks' greedy sign, old and new at The Orchards Shopping Centre in Dartford:

    IMG_1567.jpeg IMG_1566.jpeg

I fail to see how a tariff that was £10 and now hiked by 50% to an eye-watering FIFTEEN QUID encourages shoppers to come to that retail park for a cafe/bakery lunch and a leisurely afternoon's browsing, trying clothes on & doing other shopping.

God help you if you are shopping with children who need a wee, or an elderly or disabled passenger. Where's the 'reasonable adjustment' of more time for your money, like Councils do following a legal challenge by DMUK?

This is why retail is dying.

Parking firms with zero interest in high streets, consumers, shops or communities just leech off of real businesses like parasites, then leech off their customers too.

Who cares if some are driven away, or only stay on site for 2 hours as long as you can churn out PCNs for supposed '11 minute overstays' (as per the link below) when in fact it takes most of that time to drive in and out, up & down narrow multi-storey ramps ..

…never mind the time taken to actually find a space, park, lock the car, walk over to a sign, read it, work out your likely tariff then finally download an app, complete your data, VRM and card payment set up. Then pay.

Even on a Sunday, if wanting a food shop, you'd be forced to do a trolley dash round Aldi then leave. No chance of being tempted to linger, to try the smaller businesses.

    IMG_1565.jpeg

Appalling greed and extortion and that's before you even think about PCNs.

Just look at these illegible pink APCOA signs at an NHS Hospital:

Impossible to read those t&cs at all, and good luck if you are red/green colour blind.

Ref ECP signs at Orchards Shopping .. the parking tariffs may well be driven/mandated by the site owner rather than ECP themselves. 🤷‍♀️

Elite Parking sign from this thread:

    IMG_1622.jpeg

Whilst the £100 is in bold, some of the terms are ambiguous - such as 7 and 8 on that list - and why is point 9 on the list with a threat of a PCN… what, for asking for a refund?!

And the top yellow sticker has almost obliterated the important 'hours of operation' info which is also wholly ambiguous because does that mean neither the tariffs nor the t&cs apply outside of those times? Looks like you could park out of hours or even overnight.

No tariff, no rules, no PCNs at that time?

And absolutely NOTHING on that sign about the added £70 double recovery false 'fee' that the industry adds as standard, on day 29.

No contract for the double recovery lie, then.
