    ParkingEye sign from this thread:

    IMG_1747.jpeg

    Fairly clear terms and £100.

    However, NOTHING about:

    • adding £30 (double recovery fee) if P/Eye send a LBC
    • adding £70 (double recovery fee) if they farm it out to a scam DRA.

    ParkingEye sign from this thread:

Usual illegal term holding disabled motorists to the same fixed stay time for their money. There should be an extra hour at least, and a way to claim it.

Nothing about adding £30 (double recovery fake fee) if ParkingEye sue or £70 if they farm it out to DCB Group.

Green Parking sign from a recent news article in the Parking in the News & Media thread:

    IMG_1917.jpeg

Now this one offers disabled motorists 3 hours free, per the Equality Act 2010 legal duty to make time adjustments.

    Trouble is with this sign:

    • it doesn't explain how they avoid the ANPR fixed time limit so people are getting unfair PCNs, ignoring the offer of 3 hours free.
    • It doesn't have the PCN £sum prominently displayed. It's in small print.
    • It doesn't mention the double recovery "extortion" that kicks in on day 29, thanks to the trade bodies making up a false 'debt recovery' fee and stage and blindsiding the MHCLG into believing it's a separate stage and cost.

    TPS sign from this thread:

    IMG_1965.jpeg

So weatherworn & faded it's incapable of communicating a contract. Can't even see the max stay hours let along read the so called terms or risk of parking charge.

And old-style UKPC signs still exist at many retail parks, e.g. see the image on this thread:

    IMG_2189.jpeg

Completely faded and no legible contract.

Even if it wasn't faded, the onerous term about £100 and the supposed t&cs are in such minuscule size font as to be wholly inadequate and non-prominent.

    Ergo, unfair and unenforceable.

Something I noticed on this sign that is unusual. It states that "Blue badge bays for blue badge holders only". However it does not state that the blue badge has to be displayed. So if one parks in a blue badge bay but forgets to display their badge (as I have done on a few occasions) would they receive a PCN as it is not a T&C to display it?

Surely under the equality act 2010 that is direct discrimination against disabled drivers (as it only affects them).
