There's also a surcharge, called "a small convenience fee" for paying by app, the cost of which isn't specified on that contract and would appear to breach the Consumer Surcharges Regulations as well as the DMCC Act 2024.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

One of the new signs at Nottingham University. All their public materials say the University is materially in control of the parking. I'm not sure FP would have any standing. This went up in March but the scheme didn't start until August. I wonder if people might have paid unnecessarily.

I'm a random person on the internet. I hold no legal qualifications and nothing I say is advice.

Signage in the Group Nexus areas of MK1 (Milton Keynes Stadium Shopping & Leisure). "…may incur additional charges" but the level of that charge is unstated.

Interestingly, signs like this have been placed by another PPC (MK1 Parking Ltd) in an area that any reasonable person would consider operated by Group Nexus. These state "Have you paid…?" whilst Group Nexus state "You cannot pay to park in this car park":

Signage in the MK1 Parking Ltd areas of MK1 (Milton Keynes Stadium Shopping & Leisure). Standard signage does not mention add-on fees, though the full Ts&Cs no.14 "…may incur additional costs" but the level of those costs is unstated.

And the MK1 reminder sign (which actually appears to apply to a Group Nexus area of parking):

Signage in the McDonalds area of MK1 (Milton Keynes Stadium Shopping & Leisure). UKPC run this bit.

"…additional charges may apply in accordance with the Private Parking Code of Practice." but the level of that charge is unstated.
