  • Sort of linked to this thinking - I'm also a teacher, gone part time this September at 57 as a phase down to retirement. For 30 years I have also been an examiner. I've decided next year I'm going to knock this on the head - obviously there will not be the money, but I will reclaim June/July which tends to be where our summer is these days and remove the stress of the underpaid workload.

    Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).
