Nat West ISA application.

I submitted an application with NatWest on Friday evening and received a screen with an application reference. I was expecting to receive an email with confirmation but didn’t receive anything.
So I decided to submit an application with RBS and again, received a confirmation screen with an application reference but this time I did get an email, asking me to upload ID. Shortly after, I then received an email from NatWest, noting that I’d tried to make an application but hadn’t completed it.
Thought that was a bit strange as I’d been given an application reference but didn’t worry about it as I’d got the RBS one up and running instead. I’ve got received another email from NatWest asking for ID, so clearly I did complete the application! So, looks like there are some gremlins in the system so might need to be patient and wait a few days for emails to arrive etc.
For completeness, submitted ID for RBS and now waiting for account details. Don’t know if I’ll receive anything more by email or if it will come by post.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
P11D said:@auser99 @bristolleedsfan it was not meant to be aggressive, my apologies. I posted on the other chat screenshots of NatWest support confirming its paid from date of depoist and I have now spoken to 3 different people in the UK dedicated ISA team on 0345 8777 095 and they have all confirmed its from date of credit into the open account. I do agree that this ambiguity is completely wrong and unprofessional and I asked them to get their documentation altered to clarify.
Fingers crossed I get an email tomorrow to help finalise the set up before they can it, as it's the stand out ISA option by a mile.0 -

But as I'm currently in a 3month thrash to get an ISA transferred (long story), I can definitely wait another day or 2 for this email. As I dare say the wait for posting the form to Natwest, them posting it to NS@I, and then NS@I posting a cheque back to them will not exactly be quick!0 -
The application process seems a bit drawn out hence my query - The RBS website has key dates for this ISA. It says 14th August 2023 is ‘the last date for receipt by us of an external ISA’. Are they saying any transfer in has to be completed by then? I would want to transfer a Shawbrook ISA in but it doesn’t mature until 23/8/23.Thanks for any insight.0

I just applied from my app (albeit it transfers you out of the app to an external website page) and the application was completed in 3 mins (including entering details of transferring an ISA in) and the account was opened immediately.0

It seems quite inconsistent depending on whether it's Natwest or RBS, and on what device you apply on.
The ID / photo match up was fairly quick for me last night, but have heard nothing since.
All it said on the screen was something about "have a read about what happens next", without any obvious place to read it!0 -

The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -

If this wasn't such a superb stand out rate, I think i'd have binned this off by now.
It's taken me 3months to transfer another ISA out of NSI (still not confirmed into the new bank yet, although I can see it's left NSI), so even getting these login / account details is only half the way1 -
Not sure if this helps others but I applied online for both NatWest and RBS on 18th July as a new customer. Both accounts are now fully open and activated with ISA transfers underway. So 5 working days end to end.0

That Natwest and RBS have separate FSCS protection. Giving the potential to do like you have and fund both, as no-one else comes close to their rate.
I wonder what happens if the two ever then changed to have the same cover, but I suppose you could ask that with any given Banks and BS.
