@born_again  - You can still see all threads and replies (comments) on a user's profile - look for this box on the right hand side on a large screen device. The same box appears lower down the page on mobile view:

If you click once on a user's avatar or username next to their post, the card that appears also contains clickable links to their threads and comments:

Just noticed a big problem, that was a great feature in the old software.
Clicking on a user allowed you to vies old threads (very useful as some start new threads on same subject)
This has disappeared (or at least I can't find the option in a users profile..

Pleas get this back, as it really helps to link thread together.

    Example
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6459609/query-about-right-of-way#latest
Click on user name, then profile and then on either threads or comments a little way down the page.
  • I really don’t like this layout, colour etc. it’s difficult to read and not very enticing. Makes everything look like hard work rather than something fun

It is horrible. It is difficult to read and navigate. The old design was more compact and easier to scroll through. Please get rid of it.

There is a bug in the system, each time you select a bookmark tab it adds "New" boxes almost exponentially to the menu as shown below: In general, updates are probably more disruptive to competition time compared to the wider forums. An update or change of layout can take some getting used to.
I imagine most compers refine their own technique and may use the forum in ways not originally envisaged by the developers. I also imagine compers are more likley to use a computer to access the forum rather than a mobile device. We also interact with a large volume of posts.
(Personally, I use the bookmark feature to keep track of where I am as it is a stronger visual indicator than the green and red tick box (I have over 50K bookmarks!). I also make additions to the URL to activate sort functions not available directly from the interface.)
In short, I think competition time is the acid test for the forum as a whole, if it works here it will work anywhere! the flip side is competition time will expose any bugs rather quickly.

One question, why does it say that I have 80 threads when I actually have none?

I look at the savings and investment board quite a lot. I can't easily tell now when I scroll which ones I've looked at or which have new posts.

On further investigation I can see that there are boxes showing new or new with a number, but this is so small that I have to look across each line of text to see it. It was so much easier before to see which ones had new posts.

The headings are sometimes in bold and sometimes not. It appeared to me at first that the ones not in bold were ones I had bookmarked, but not all. Then it seemed that the ones not in bold were ones with no new posts - but not necessarily ones I'm interested in, looked at or bookmarked.

It's given me a headache looking at this forum. I've had to turn down the brightness, but I'm having to move my eyes across each post much more than I used to

Well after a day and a half of trying to navigate this new layout I have finally given up, I thought this was supposed to be making things simpler and easier to use I am not sure who thinks that, it is now far more complicated and less user friendly.
