Sending hugs @ditty1234 & @apple_muncher. Wishing you well for this week @Toni'sfriend.
Had a lovely weekend, went to town yesterday, met s customer & dropped off the memory bear, took mum shopping then brought her back to the house for a sleepover. She's not been over for a while, so thought a night in the countryside would be good for her.
Put dough on for pizzas, then unpicked a looooong zip in a tent, sitting out in the garden. Me & mum made pizzas for everyone, then after tea, I sewed the new zip in place.
Today, I cut the grass & mum sat on a chair snipping branches up for the compost heap & fire. Watched some TV with DS1 & I unpicked & replaced a coat zip. Made pulled pork in the slow cooker. Took m home after tea, phoned DH, they've now discovered the root of his infection, apparently transplant patients sometimes get this, so they've altered his medication for now. Sorted out new car insurance, washed the dishes & watered the greenhouse plants.
Grateful for a nice weekend, sunny weather, getting a big sewing frog doneUse it up, wear it out

I'm just outside Glasgow, Beanie, but not so far away from you' I love Edinburgh.
Unfortunately, I don't think the hospital could do anything about changing the timing, Starlight, and it might be difficult to arrange something even it they could. My relatives are only going to be in Edinburgh for a couple of hours. They've been there several times before but I've suggested some nice places in the centre where they might like to go for lunch. I'm sure they will be sending me photos.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -

Thrifty T - glad they've found the root cause of dh's infection - and you'll know to watch out for it from now on.Starlight - If you can, do go to Parc Guell - it is fabulous. If you can get hold of a copy of the Rough Guide, it'll have some great suggestions.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Thanks @Thrifty_Taylor I hope you can let your hair down a bit now. I literally woke up at 5 this morning and heard the birds singing and looked forwards to go to work, it has been a while since that happened. I think this week might be almost normal. If crazy busy. Managed a club run in the heat, ss2 cooked me dinner, all in all I am quite lucky.

Today I am grateful for finding the back scratcher, for dc managing all day at school, for realising that the rotary airer doesn't need all its line replacing - we've just tied 2 bits together, for a good hard session at the gym, for a decent thunderstorm and rain.

Caught up with all turtle posts and now need to catch up with mine…
Saturday was school fete and we had a fun day. DS enjoyed throwing wet sponges at my face and getting sweaty on the bouncy castle. Bumped into my best friend who was there with her OH and kids too, and our neighbour who was there with his ice cream van… he kindly gave us 3 99s for free. It was really lovely seeing lots of people from the school and wider local community there.Sunday we stayed in our pyjamas until the early afternoon, watched some popular game shows, one of the H.Potter films, and then took a walk in the sun to the SM for eggs… emerged from the shop with more than eggs as is always the case if I go with OH or DS. Strolled back home eating our Flake ice creams. Hung about the house and back garden for the rest of the day, chatting to neighbours over the fence and eventually inviting them round for a game of cards. DS loves card games. Nice to have them ‘round’ for the first time since we moved in 8 years ago. Hopefully we’ve broken that bit of ice and we might have more card games in the future. It wasn’t a completely horizontal Sunday… I did get two loads washed and dried, cleared and cleaned out a couple of shelves in the kitchen with a couple of things going into the charity bag which made me feel quite satisfied, and made a katsu chicken curry. I also listed a couple of items on V!ntD and packaged up a sale for postage on Monday.Today (Monday) I posted V!ntD order and a woman collected the wooden high chair I’d listed on FBmarketplace. Sold for £20 as it wasn’t budging for anything more. Pleased to get some pennies back on it and we’ve definitely had our money’s worth from it over the last 5 years. A little sad to see it go but more glad to have the space back! I can watch the video we took of DS sitting in the highchair getting his fit spoon of actual food any time I want.Grateful for a weekend that was good for the soul, for wonderful weather, for great neighbours who give you free ice cream and play card games with you, and for quality time with OH and DS.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8
