Hail HYDRA! @grandmanerdI am off to a work job this afternoon, so spent the morning running around like a loon making sure DH has every possible thing in the house for every eventuality that might occur in my 29 hours out of the house. Got home with the emergency shopping (the house is already full of food - what am I doing!!) and laundry powder, and realised we are just about out of filter coffee - I buy it 10 bags at a time so I never have to think about it - DH used the last one and never thought to make sure there was more, so I told him to wait until I come back,I was not going out again, and he can use his 'not favourite' coffee instead. So he has ordered some online for delivery tomorrow. His choice.Kitchen cleaned, bag packed, ready to go, just need to have lunch and run out the door. I doubt anyone has ever been this excited by a night in Peterboro.ETA - tomorrow is also payday! Whoop Whoop!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thank you all douch for the last few days posts, I've finally caught up! Loved the Monday Motivations @grandmanerd. Happy Malaga @Shrewbie. Happy new kettle @ldee2111. Good luck job hunting @KajiKita. @Toni'sfriend you're neatly there! @Starlight_at_Sea thank you for July, good luck with the move & hope you get 5 mins to recharge your batteries with your poorly & injured folk.
A busy few days - work Mon-Wed. Mon night I sewed a chicken for our head teacher, who's retiring. Pinned a lady into some clothes, which I altered Tues night, so could hand over at child's leavers assembly on Wed. Wed was the last day of term - yippee! A rollercoaster of a day, with me crying twice in the first 5 mins, when I received cards from the class & a pupil. Note to self: don't read what's been written, only the names, until you get home, in future! I'd ordered a photo book for my pupil, filled with photos I've taken over the years, but I hasn't arrived. Contacted our postie, who said I could pop over to the sorting office at 8am to check before work - no sign 😓. Pupil cried when the bell went at 3.30, which started off again! Decided not to go to staff drinks, but instead recharge my batteries at home. Had a nap after tea, then got my chores done & watched TV & latch hooked more of my rug
Guess what arrived in the post this morning?! Had told pupil if meet them in the holidays to give them their present. Had a lie in, then did some yoga. After breakfast, I spent 2 hours strimming my garden. Sat down for half an hour, then walked to the village to get things for DS2 & DH's tablets. Did a sewing job, think that's the last of the original backlog done now 😊 Made fajitas for tea (never made them before, but delicious), a soak in the bath, then will hook more rug.
Grateful for butterflies, the scent of wildflowers, a strimmed garden, that it's finally the holidays, looking after myself a bit better, pupil appreciates all I did for themUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Happy Holidays @Thrifty_Taylor so envious, we still have until 14th July until freedom beckons.
Am in my hotel room for work. Just rang DH who misses me, and he threw a load of new dates for his work at me to add to my diary, however I have had 3 drinks and his days/ dates do not tally with the texts he has sent, so will leave it til Saturday morning to sort it out properly. It will keep.
Feeling very chilled.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
