I've seen an example. Please could you try refreshing your page a few times?
I'm hoping this is just a temporary glitch because of the the changeover, but I will check with our providers just to make sure.Join the MSE Forum

Just out of curiosity, do you still have to include a 'clean' url if you're using a 'hidden' one, or does this latest upgrade fix the issue with search being unable to find 'hidden' ones?

hi, how do we use html? I run two challenges in the Debt-Free Wannabe forum and they both require the use of html. The previous text editor allowed me to toggle between the two views.
I've been trying to see how to post the lists (for the Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread part 18 and May's NSD challenge) and not only does it not allow html, it also doesn't seem to allow emojis, and the challenges revolve around people "winning" emojis. The cutting down alcohol thread in particular has helped countless people over the years and the emojis are central to it. I'm sorry but this new text editor is almost unusable, the formats it allows are hugely limited. Please can you rethink, or better still return to the previous format, which was fine.

Not impressed so far, can no longer copy & the bold option on formatting no longer works on my iPad 😔

This change is ruining the parking tickets board such that some regulars want to give up posting today.
Links to legislation and uploading a photo are all essential on the parking board. But linking to another post is just as important. Surely we don't have to go looking for our standard advice thread URL links every time?We help people easily beat parking firms in court every day - saving people millions per annum with our efforts on that board alone - but we'll have to stop if we can't easily signpost to other threads.
For example:
We cannot even see how to post a reply that includes a link taking someone directly (specifically) to the second post of the NEWBIES PARKING TICKET FAQS sticky.
We have no time on that board to faff around with fiddling with a URL each and every time.
It also puts double line space gsps in post like this one…looks horrible if you have a lot of information to advise.Sometimes today, quoting someone or copy/pasting from an older reply looks like the 'code' option.
Or it just shows as a URL (what's the point of that?!).
And as you are typing a reply, the auto correct that underlines a typo in red and suggests correct spellings is no longer working as you type.
Also the new editor can't cope if you start to type a username you want to link, if you make a typo it then stops trying to suggest the poster and (even if you continue and correct the typo) their username doesn't show as a link to their profile.
Not being able to use bold or italics from a single click toolbar is really annoying too.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nope. Looks like you still have to include a 'clean' url. I posted a comp earlier without and it didn't find it when I searched for it, but did when I added one.

But you can't highlight anything in a quote to make it bold, or edit it at all.
Not liking it so far.

Hi everyone
I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread even if I can't reply to every post. So if I don't reply it's not because I haven't seen your post, I'll be looking for solutions and updating our provider with lots of feedback.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, our previous editor was considered Legacy. In fact, it was the editor before the editor before the new one.It has not received any updates or fixes for bugs. Our new editor is actively beeing improved and developed. If there are any features your feel are missing, we can request those be considered for a future release.

I see the option to use code blocks but it is not at all apparent how they work. Is the code in question HTML or something else? At the moment if I try to post in HTML in the code block it displays the code as text. Can we have a bit more guidance on this feature please?

Also I have read in an earlier comment that custom emojis are not currently supported. The Cutting Down Alcohol and NSD challenges depend absolutely on custom emojis and we need them introduced as a matter of urgency or those challenges are basically unworkable. Did anyone at all look at the current challenges that run in the Debt-Free Wannabe board before making this decision?
