Oasis1 said:Is it just me or does hitting the return/enter key to go to the next lineresult in a space as if you'vehit in twice? This has annoyed me since the forum software was "upgraded" and I'm sure I've mentioned it more than once.Pressing enter once shouldn't create two lines. Maybe I'm old school and not used to Microsoft Word's paragraph formatting, but I've always pressed enter twice when starting a new paragraph. This leaves a empty line between the two paragraphs, as intended.1

It's awful! You cannot edit parts of a quote, I just quoted someone and tried to edit it and now my whole post is in that dreadful courier font! And spill chucker doesn't work.

I just got this as well on another post. Tried to quote, and it just gives a URL instead of showing the quoted text. Really helpful 😂

I believe that when you quote a post, the post is show in your reply (you should see your reply immediately above this text because I quoted you).
But when you get to a quote of a quote, It may become a link (also seen in the quote above). This is to prevent what we had with the old editor where there were many nested quotes getting darker and smaller until there was a tiny box in the centre.

Nope, me too and it's annoying. I'm also having to play guess the emoji because they're not displaying for me completely on the menu.

Thanks for your reply @MSE_Stephen . I know what you mean about the nested quotes, that was certainly quite annoying. But in your reply above, I'm still seeing a URL rather than quoted text. Is this something the team would be able to raise with your software suppliers please?

This problem has driven me mad for ages, also the apparent inability to select quotes from posts on different page to put in a single comment. These issues are far more important to fix than anything this current update appears to have done. (Although if it stops the cursor getting stuck "in" a quote I suppose it's progress of a sort…)
Also I've just tried to link to some legislation in a comment and it's appeared above the line for some reason and looks out of place
How do you use bold or italics if there's no "toolbar"? The only "tools" I can see are a paragraph icon level with what I'm typing, an emoji picker, upload image, insert media, and upload file. None of those are essential in the context of these boards
[Edit: I think I've just found the bold and italic tools]
