  • I must make a travel savings binder. I thought about it when you first mentioned it. Even if I save the money in bank, I can write it all down on each page & update it. Think I'll get one made
I loved making mine, and it's definitely helped me focus on what I need to save for my holidays/trips. Let me know how you get on.

  • Good morning all, I hope everyone is doing OK?

Just a quick update from me today as I have a busy day ahead and I have already been to the gym and picked up some grocery shopping this morning.  I'm off out pretty much as soon as I have finished work too, so I will be glad of a quieter day tomorrow if I can get one!

It's not a NSD as I am out at a charity event tonight and my PAD was just £5 to the sabbatical.

    Catch you all later

  • Goooood morning folks and happy Friday, I hope everyone has had a decent week?

I was up at 4:45 this morning and have already been working as I couldn't get back to sleep... One of those days where my brain is awake and I know I will be knackered later.

I spent more than I had planned last night but it was for charity so I don't really mind that much, would have spent a lot more if I'd have been drinking alcohol and not driving.

So, today's PAD included £5 to the sabbatical and some left-over budget to savings challenges.  It's a NSD for me and it's likely to be a no-spend weekend as I feel like over the past week or so my social battery has been totally drained and I need some home time. We will see how that pans out.

That's all in terms of updates from me, have a wonderful weekend!

  • Good morning and happy Monday, I hope everyone had a nice weekend? It was a bit mixed here in terms of weather and we had thunder storms yesterday evening.

Today won't be a NSD for me as I am going to meet a friend for dinner this evening, it will be a nice catch up and I had a no spend weekend so I can't complain too much can I? :)

Today's PAD included a few DD's as it's the first weekday of the month but also £5 to the sabbatical and £41 to my envelope challenge. This is my last month of the challenge and I will be doing the last 3 next week as I will be on holiday after that.  It will feel great to complete another challenge, especially as that one is also boosting my sealed pot.

That's about it from me, head is a bit of a shambles as I'm starting to plan what I need for holiday now

  • Hi guys, a quick check in today as I have a busy day... it's not a NSD as I'm out again tonight, last social event this week though as my social battery won't cope :D

My PAD today is just £5 to the sabbatical. The accounts are quiet at the moment which is nice. It's hubby's pay day later this week so the joint account will get a nice boost. As we are away for the second half of the month we should be able to build a little buffer in there too.

That's it from me this morning.

  • Morning all, I hope you're having a good week so far?  I've been stung by the percentile dice this morning which landed on 90! So £132 is going into my dice challenge (sealed pot) and £5 to the sabbatical of course.

It's a NSD for me today, I'm definitely social-ed-out this week. Cleaning and ironing is on the cards for me this evening. That's all from me I'm afraid.

  • Hello all, I had my day off yesterday so today feels like a Monday. Which is great really because it's already Thursday :)

It's another NSD for me today, we do need to get some supplies for holiday (SPF and insect repellent), but I will wait until I have a spending day and get them at the same time...

Today's PAD included £5 to the sabbatical as usual, it's hubby's pay day so this morning I have done the joint account monthly budget. I will be on holiday when I get paid so next pay period will feel shorter I hope!

That's all I have going on at the moment, hope you're all OK

  • I know you have explained before but I still don't understand where the money for PADs comes from lol! Once again is the sealed pot something physical? What are you planning on doing with that money? Sorry to ask again but it puzzles me .
