  • Good morning, I hope you're all doing OK? It was my scheduled day off yesterday so I didn't post, not just because I wasn't sat in the home office but also because we were at a friends funeral, so my thoughts were very much elsewhere.

Back at work today though with my slightly shorter day, and it feels nice that I'm off again tomorrow for the long weekend.  OH is away today until Sunday with his friends and I will be here with the dog, a good book and total reign over the remote control whenever I want so I will make the most of that :)

Today will be a NSD for me after a very spendy week.  I did have £24 left over from last week's spending budget so that has been sent to sinking funds.  My PAD included that and the £5 to the sabbatical fund.

It's less than a month now until we go on holiday and I am getting very excited. I ordered some holiday clothes at the weekend and need to go to Next later to collect them, I did have an allocated 'holiday clothes' fund in my travel binder so I'm really pleased I had put that aside and it's not come out of my regular monthly budget.

Well, I think that's about it for my updates, I hope you all have a great Friday and then a lovely long weekend.

Sorry to hear about the funeral but the not needing any more scans must be such a relief!
Enjoy the weekend’s freedom with the remote control (doing similar here as Mr KK has gone off to France for a week on a bike adventure 😊) and I hope the clothes fit well / meet your expectations 😊

Think the remote is 1 thing we don't argue about. Probably because we don't watch that much TV really & always seem to enjoy the same things. We watch TV from 8-9  on a weekday night & probably about 7-9 on a weekend. Maybe a film every so often. I might put it on in afternoons if I'm ironing or something & watch things DH not keen on, like Bridgerton etc.  Did watch it a lot when Olympics was on though...lol

Hi everyone, I hope you've had a lovely long weekend :)

I'm back to my basic shifts this week as it's the bank holiday and we couldn't work out how many hours I needed to do for the trial so we are skipping a week.

It's Pay day for me today so lots of moving money around for me, including £455 to savings and sinking funds which is my PAD today and incorporates the daily £5 to the sabbatical.  I've sorted out the budget for the month, but we are on holiday from 18th Sept so it's a bit strange looking as the holiday funding is all accounted for outside of this month's budget.

Its a NSD for me today, no plans except a bit of cleaning and journaling once I finish work.

    Hope you have lovely days!

  • Good morning, it's another one of those weeks where I get confused about what day it is... especially as usually on a Tuesday night I go out but we had no plans last night.  Instead I stayed in and watched us get thumped in the footy.

Today is dice rolls day and they weren't too bad (could have been worse!) so £97 has been sent to the sealed pot this morning, as well as £5 to the sabbatical.  The sealed pot is now over £5k so I am excited to see what we can reach before 24th October :D  The dice challenge has definitely boosted it this year.

It's another NSD for me, with no plans until tomorrow night and then on Saturday.  I'm so glad I made my travel savings binder, as it means I don't have to curb my spending on the run up to holiday like I usually do.

That's about all from me, I'll update my signature now as I've not done that for a while.

I must make a travel savings binder. I thought about it when you first mentioned it. Even if I save the money in bank, I can write it all down on each page & update it. Think I'll get one made

I'm please with them, and feel like my saving is paying off :) The sealed pot covers Christmas and OH birthday, a holiday in January and my girls Back Friday shopping and spa weekend.  All very good causes I assure you!
