That’s a nice uplifting moment with the bird coming back LMD. Sounds like you needed that bit of positivity.
Sounds like you have more tough times at the moment. Keep going, keep being a good person, and look after/be kind to yourself, All any of us can do is our best x

Thanks Ant, I appreciate your kind words. I do feel like I am on a bit of a rollercoaster lately with my physical and mental health, although it could be that the lack of physical health is contributing to my mental health somewhat. The bird coming back warmed my heart and I even managed to grab a video of him/her so I can watch it back 💛
Today is a good day for me as it's pay day. Although I have also had to pay the balance of my May holiday so that hurt a bit (£922!) but I have also added to the 1p challenge and my spare £20 cash from this week has gone to the sealed pot.
It's not a NSD as I have a nail appointment today but I don't have any plans for the weekend yet so hoping to have a few NSDs there. March is super-busy, I have 2 of the weekends away on short breaks and the other 2 I have planned events so I doubt I will get anywhere near the 20 spend free days. I will just do what I can.
That's pretty much it from me. Just need to go and finalise the budget and then I can make another cuppa.

Goooood morning and happy Monday guys, I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed a bit of sunshine? I loved it and it really feels like the gloom is going.
It was a no spend weekend for me so that was a bonus, and I only have plans for tomorrow night so it should be a low spend week. I am away on Friday until Sunday but I have my money for this saved in a separate travel pot so I don't need to save my budget for that.
I have been tasked with thinking of gifts I would like for my birthday, but because I no longer view spending in the same way as I used to, I am really struggling for ideas…. and I have been told I'm not allowed to choose something for the household (kitchen gadgets) - I am a bit stumped.
Today is a NSD and my PAD included £5 to the sabbatical as well as many DDs from 1st of the month. I am pleased about where my savings are at the moment, but as a lot are in travel and sinking pots which will fluctuate I need to keep building. This weekend will knock about £900 from the total as the hotel is really expensive and we have lots planned. But I will just keep saving to build it back up for my next trip.
I finished book 15 last night so I will choose another from my TBR pile this morning for when I am having my lunch break…
That's it from me in terms of updates, I would welcome any tips on birthday gifts if you have any

Are there any courses you fancy doing? Like jewellery making, cocktails? A retreat to help you reset or a spa day?

A fancy type of body or hair product that you never buy yourself - for me I really enjoyed being gifted my posh shampoo and Lush bath bombs. A crafty subscription to make something creative each month. An edible treat subscription - cheese for me please Gromit!

Some good ideas, thank you. I think as we are away this weekend I will have a look in the shops on Saturday and see if I see anything, an activity can be a back up I think. I do enjoy a crafting class, I've done jewellery making, cocktail shaking and pottery before, I've even done rally driving. I quite fancy flower arranging… I will have a look 😊
It's not a NSD for me today as I am out tonight, should be a low spend though as I am driving.
It's fairly quiet in the accounts now, I have made my £5 PAD to the sabbatical today and I will be rolling the dice for my £10k fund tomorrow… We will see what happens there.
As we are away for the weekend I have Friday as my day off so I am working 4 long days in a row this week. Which will feel like hard work compared to what I have become used to. I will be ready for my weekend I think!
That's all from me, I hope you're all enjoying your week!

Morning and welcome to Wednesday… This week is going really fast considering the complaints I've made about working 4 long days.
It's a NSD today, last night I spent more than I planned as I ended up getting a lift but I had a good night and won my pool match so I was happy about that.
The PAD today was £5 to the sabbatical as usual and then £74 in dice rolls to the £10k fund. This is now £1311 so I am already 13% of the way to my target. I had to take some money from my gift sinking fund yesterday for the 2 significant birthdays this month. I also have birthdays to pay for in April May and June - but I should be thankful they're somewhat spread out.
I have finished book 16 and started 17, see how this one goes 😊
That's it from me today - hope you're all well
