Thanks Ant, it's my Friday today and whilst it will be busy I am so glad it's here 😁 I have to do some ironing and packing later but work will be keeping me busy first.

Today's PAD was £5 to the sabbatical as usual and I have 'fulled' envelope 6 for the envelope challenge. It's a NSD for me today ahead of a spendy weekend.

I won't be updating over the weekend but I hope you all have good ones, I think most of the UK is due some sunshine over the next few days - hopefully!

Well, happy Monday guys. Hopefully you all had nice weekends? Our weekend away was fabulous but very spendy as I expected it to be. I didn't spend all of the money I had budgeted which is a good thing so the remainder has been sent to the pot for my next holiday. This brings it to target so I can now concentrate on saving for the July F1 holiday spending, although I still have another final payment for that one in April.

I think this year I may have over-committed on holidays and will suggest to DH that next year we just have one (maybe big) holiday. We will see. Having said that, only 1 holiday and 2 mini breaks were with DH this year, the other 2 holidays and 1 mini-break are with friends 🙄

Anyway, after a very spendy few days, today will be a NSD. £55 has been PADded which includes £5 to the sabbatical as always.

I finished book 17 while travelling home yesterday (hubby kindly drove all the way home - legend!) and I have now started No18.

I think that's about it from me in terms of updates. Hoping for a non-spendy week, although I am out tomorrow night as usual and I have a function/event to attend on Friday night.

I realise that I have spent a lot and I am having all these holidays and get-aways but there once was a time I would have just put it on a credit card and worried about it later so I feel they are well deserved.

That's all from me, have marvellous Mondays!

Morning all! Just a quick one today as I am running late this morning…

Not a NSD as I am out as usual tonight, not driving either so will be an average spend rather than low. No plans after that until Friday.

PAD included £5 to the sabbatical and also £15.14 to the sealed pot from some Monzo cash back I had forgotten about…

That's all, I have a busy day today and I didn't want to get up so I'm on the back foot already.

Morning! I had a good night last night and we won our match which always helps 😂

Today is a NSD for me, I have no plans until Friday and I'm quite tired this morning so an early night will probably be on the cards for me.

My PAD was £5 to the sabbatical and then £57 in dice rolls to the £10k fund. I do have some spare budget at the moment but I'm not sure wether to hang on to it so I can use it on Friday evening, DSD has made mothers day plans at the weekend which she says she is paying for but I feel I will need to use some of next weeks budget for that.

Still on book 18 but I think I will get that finished tonight and start the next. Watch this space!

That's all from me, take care and have great days!

Good morning and happy Friyay 😊 There's sunshine and blue sky here today which is lovely to see after the rain we had last night.

It was my day off yesterday and I have a busy day today at work and then I am out tonight so it'll be non-stop. As I'm out, it won't be a NSD for me and it's unlikely to be a no spend weekend as DSD has 'plans' for us.

Today's PAD was just £5 to the sabbatical, I've placed spare budget in a holding envelope for now given that I don't know what the 'plans' are…

I finished book 18 and now about 30% through book 19, not bad going :)

    Have lovely weekends!

Hi guys, happy Monday ☺️ I hope you all enjoyed your weekends? It's always a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me when it's Mother's Day. The event on Friday was great and then I went shopping on Saturday with DSD and my sister and bought a new dress and some jeans. I used my 'clothing' sinking fund, which still has £250 remaining so that's a positive.

Yesterday was a NSD, DSD treated me to mothers day lunch, which was lovely. It's a NSD today too, I have no plans until tomorrow evening.

My PAD today included £10 to the sealed pot and £5 as usual to the sabbatical fund. I don't know what spare budget I will have this week as I have a nail appointment and then we are away for my birthday weekend, we will see.

That's pretty much where we are in terms of finances, busy day ahead so I'd better get a move on.

Good morning, welcome to Wednesday. It was a gorgeous day yesterday and today looks to be the same so far which makes me happy. I didn't update yesterday as I was very busy and I didn't have much to update on.

Today I have done the dice rolls and £55 has been moved to my £10k fund, along with the £5 to the sabbatical has made up my PAD today. It's also a NSD for me, as is tomorrow as my nail appointment is already paid for.

I have spare budget which I will re-allocate tomorrow and as we head in to a lovely (5-day!) weekend for me celebrating another trip around the sun, I will be using the money I have saved specifically for that.

I've almost finished my current book so I will probably be starting on no.21 this evening.

I don't have much else to update on, hubby was sorting out the garden herb baskets yesterday so that is another job ticked off the list, we still don't have a nesting bird and it's hardly been back since I last mentioned it so I might have to wait until next year.

I hope you all have lovely sunny days!

Hi everyone! It's my Friday today as we are heading away for a long birthday weekend in the morning. I've therefore done my budget a day early as there will be no time to sort it tomorrow… Left over budget of £39 has been sent to the sealed pot along with my £7 for this week's envelope challenge. I have also put £50 into sinking funds today.

It's a NSD today and I have my travel pot ready and waiting for the weekend, I just hope the weather stays like this, but I will definitely pack my rain mac just in case!

I'm very tired and we have a long way to travel in the morning so I will be getting an early night tonight with my book. Officially book 21 now 😃

That's all from me, I have a busy day ahead so off to fortify body and mind with copious amounts of coffee.

    Hi all

Firstly, I need to apologise for being AWOL and thank you all for the birthday wishes, I had a lovely weekend away and the weather held which was great.

Following that, everything went a bit wrong. The firm I work for has announced changes which will mean I will likely be made redundant so I have slipped into panic mode. When I say it's likely I mean about 85% probability my role will be removed from our structure.I have a niche specialism so whilst I have transferrable 'skills and values' it's rare that an equivalent role will be available.

DH doesn't seem to be concerned, but he's a hands-on skilled person who fields 3-4 agency recruiting calls a week trying to get him to consider a new role.

Not sure what else to tell you but my head is not in a great place right now. My physical pain has flared up again which means I'm not getting much sleep either.

Finance-wise, it's a NSD for me today and I have added £5 to the sabbatical fund as usual.

Sorry it's not a more positive update, I hope you're all doing OK
