Good morning and happy Monday, even though I was off on Friday this weekend seems to have flown by and I didn't even have any plans! I have no plans until Friday this week so I am hoping for a good run of NSD's, I am counting today as one, even though a payment for the holiday has come out…

My PAD included the usual £5 to the sabbatical and £40 to the physical sealed pot (my notes tin) which gets opened in 31 days time - exciting!

It will be a boring week with no plans but at least I will save some money. It's 5 days to pay day now, and I need do my October budget and add it to my planner. This won't include the opening of the sealed pot as that just gets opened and then distributed to where it's needed on 22nd. It will cover Christmas and then top up the travel and sinking funds. We are away on October (4 nights), twice in November (3 nights and then 2 nights) and then we have the holiday in December for 7 nights. I despair at my poor planning sometimes and then realise I'm addicted to holidays 🤣 At least in October we are taking the dog so we don't have the sitters fees too!

Mid-week already! I got distracted yesterday and then never came back online. Which in some ways is a good thing. It's another NSD for me today, no plans until Friday which is also pay day.

The PAD today was £5 to the sabbatical as usual as well as £87 to the £10k dice rolls.

Nothing else much happening at the moment, hope you're all doing well!

Good morning, it's my Fri-yay today as I am off tomorrow and I'm off to stay with family for the weekend 😃

It's a NSD for me today, I have no plans outside of working and tonight we have tuna pasta bake on the menu, carb loading and closing out the dark nights is on the cards whilst we watch a film or play a board game.

The PAD today was just £5 to the sabbatical fund, it's pay day tomorrow, so the budget is set and hopefully it won't be too tight a month. DSD is currently starting Uni though which is definitely not cheap!

I think I am going to have to give up on my current book, as much as it pains me. There are spelling mistakes and it's incredibly hard to read. I will give it one last try at lunchtime today but that will be the end of it's chances 🙄

Good morning, I hope you all had a good weekend? I had a fab one and enjoyed quality time with family. I did buy some event tickets at the weekend, although one of them is a Christmas present for my sister so that's a legitimate spend, just a bit earlier than I would have usually started as the sealed pot normally takes care of Christmas. I do need to start planning for Christmas and making a list of what I need to buy and for who(m?)

Usual PAD of £5 to the sabbatical today and I have also had to pay the final holiday payment for our December holiday. That's raided the coffers a bit but it'll be worth it when we are off to sunnier climes in the middle of December 😂

What else? Not much happening really, we are doing a spot of decorating, nothing major, just a bit of pain on the walls to freshen it up. I'm off out tonight as usual so I will miss Bake Off and will have to catch up tomorrow.

We are at that difficult 'balancing the accounts' period where it's hard to keep a track of the joint account and bills, because DH gets paid 4-weekly and I get paid monthly… In my head I feel like we should have an extra £X that DH pays in and I can just squirrel that to savings but it's not seeming to work out like that as all the dates are falling oddly and I'm needing to keep some for a mid-month shortfall and I can't work out why we aren't seeing any excess. I've never been very good at maths 🤷‍♀️ As long as we don't end up in the overdraft I suppose I will be thankful! Love how DH has no clue and just leaves me to it.

Gooood morning, I’ve had a busy one this morning and even managed to squeeze the gym in before work. I didn’t sleep very well though so I’m quite tired.

I have PADded £62.52 to various saving pots today (£57 from dice rolls) and it’s a NSD for me, as I was out last night I will be catching up on Bake Off later on.

Not much else going on, DH gets paid tomorrow so the joint account can breathe again for a bit. Honestly the increase in the cost of living is getting out of hand, we earn decent wages so I have no idea how others manage.
