A no spend day is on the cards for me today, it was a late night last night and I've no plans this evening. I'm therefore tired and cannot wait til the weekend.

£58 in dice rolls went to the £10k fund this morning and £5 to the sabbatical.

Pay day tomorrow so there will be a lot of movement across the accounts and budget setting. Plus it's only a week to my holiday.

Off to work now, have great days!

You spoke about having a cold a couple of weeks back LMD. I thought at the time that it seemed peculiar for the time of year. Well now it’s my go for a cold and it feels bloomin’ horrible 😣

Funny you should say that LMD. Same here, not felt this bad since covid. Added fun this morning of feeding neighbour’s cats whilst they holiday. Would have coped but one of them had brought a live bird in this morning. It was very distressed and shocked but I think it survived as I managed to get it outside, and within a few minutes it was gone. Not what’s needed when feeling really rough. I love all animals so seeing the distressed bird stressed me when I was feeling yucky.
Mate at work also has the lurgy and also said it feels not far off covid.

Of course as you know these things are always so much worse for men 😉

Oh no AntoMac! I love birds so that would have been traumatic for me, at least you managed to rescue it.

It's pay day for me and I have re-set all the budgets this morning and money has been flying around to be in the right places. It doesn't help the budgeting that I get paid monthly and DH gets paid 4-weekly so I have to keep a close eye on the joint account balance and what's due out.

I PADded money to travel and sinking funds along with the £5 to the sabbatical this morning and I also made 4 Lend With Care loans as I received instalments yesterday so was able to put that money back to good use.

Not much else going on at the moment, I spend yesterday evening reading after dinner and I'm very much enjoying this book. I need to time my next one carefully so I have plenty to read on the flight to Italy.

Right, I'm off to work!

Morning everyone, I hope you’re all OK? I did start a post yesterday but it was so slow in typing and when it eventually appeared there were (long nail) typo’s so I ended up frustrated and then I got distracted and didn’t come back to it to submit.

Last day of work for me, I head off on holiday again for the Grand Prix. I’m excited, but I’m already tired and I know it’s not a restful break.  It will be a NSD for me today though, I just need to finish packing after work.  I rolled the dice this morning and £114 has gone to the £10k fund along with the usual £5 to the sabbatical.

Here are the finances as they stand today, obviously this includes holiday spending so that’s going to take a hit, plus I need to pay the balance of my December holiday in September so that will be pretty much wiped out and I will have to start saving again.

Next month the sealed pot will be opened and I will be distributing that and starting all over again. I’ve not added much to it lately as there’s not been much in terms of spare finances.

Hi everyone, I hope you've all enjoyed the past week? I am absolutely exhausted, and I need to be back at work for a break. The race was amazing and Milan is totally stunning, but I am utterly broken. 20k steps each day and it was 35 degrees.

I didn't spend all of my allocated budget for this holiday so I have rolled some over to our December holiday, I don't want to leave it in my account as it may end up being used for something else and technically that's 'travel' savings.

Whilst I have been away, the auto payments to the sabbatical have been continuing, but I just didn;t get round to declaring my PADs. Today I have rilled the dice and £89 has been sent to the £10k fund.

I have to go back to work now, I have so much to do! I'll be back tomorrow though and will try to post daily from here on in.

Re-reading yesterdays' post and seeing my typos made me chuckle just now… My holiday nails are long and I was so busy yesterday I didn't even think to check. Apologies for that!.

Today is a NSD for me, I had plans but they're canceled now so that saves me some money (bonus) and I'm not going to complain about an evening with no plans after the past week of craziness.

The PAD today was just £5 to the sabbatical fund, nothing else happening in the accounts. I'll have some left over budget tomorrow to add to the sealed pot though so that will be a boost to the coffers. I get paid early this month due to the weekend so I get paid again 2 weeks tomorrow. It will make October seem longer, but as it gets colder and darker I venture out far less so I tend to spend less without even thinking about it.

When I get paid earlier due to weekends I always move my wages to my savings account and then move them back to the current account on the usual date. That makes it seem like a ‘normal’ month to me, or it might be some sort of OCD! I like to know how close I am to overdraft territory each month come payday
