You have got some good titles there! The burnout and Shopaholic and sister are both good. Enjoy. 😁1

Crikey that’s a whole world of escape for you to dip into LMD. Thanks both, I do enjoy these as they're easy reads and I don't have to think about much, so true escapism! I'd rather sit with a cuppa and a book than go out on an evening.
Anyway, back to the real world. It's not a NSD for me as I am out tonight. Should be low spend though as I am driving, and my PAD was just £5 to the sabbatical. I had my eye test yesterday and I need a new prescription, so that'll be an expense I don't really want. I do have money in my sinking funds to cover it but I was hoping they'd last me another year. Got to look after our eyes though haven't we? So I have an appointment tomorrow to choose some new frames.
I am really tired today as it was just too hot for sleeping last night. I have a very busy day too so I'm just going to have to push through! Time for a brew I think!

For some reason I wasn't able to post yesterday on the forum... I have no idea why but I'm sure people enjoyed the peace!
Yesterday was not a NSD for me as I had to pay for new glasses, varifocals are so much more expensive than standards but I need to be able to see, so I raided the sinking funds. I have to wait 2 weeks to get them but I've been managing on my old prescription thus far, I don't think an extra fortnight will do too much damage. Today IS a NSD for me though (yay) as I have no plans.
Yesterday was dice rolls and £68 went to the sealed pot. Today was the usual £5 to the sabbatical fund and then £200 overpayment to the mortgage. This was our 'fairer share' payment from Nationwide which dropped into the account yesterday.
I also sold something on Facebook so I added £50 to the EF from that.
Not a bad update really

This is a shock to read. I hope things improve quickly. MSE can certainly take a back seat. In the scheme of things it is of minimal importance.Saving To Keep Ahead Of The Game — MoneySavingExpert Forum
