Hi all, it's dice roll Wednesday so £92 has been sent to the sealed pot and the usual £5 to the sabbatical along with some change to the physical sealed pot.

It's a NSD for me today, it was quite spendy last night so I'm glad to have a no spend day.

Here's the totals at the end of April

    Sealed pot              £4225.43
    Emergency Fund    £161.68
    Sabbatical              £2862.50
    Travel                      £2151.26
    Sinking funds         £2848.34
    Total                       £12249.21

Now, I know this is down a bit from last month (£8 less), but considering my holiday and the decking we had to buy I'm still pretty pleased with it.

That's all from me, back off to work

Morning all, happy Friday :)  It looks like another sunny day here which is a great start to the bank holiday weekend.

I am the counter upper for May on the PADding thread and I am hoping it keeps me focused as although I do PAD every day to the sabbatical I sometimes forget to post.  My PAD as £39.75 today which was £5 to the sabbatical and £34.75 left over spending budget to the EF.

It's a NSD for me today, wasn't yesterday as we had cinema tickets and I had to pay for parking. Only £3 but still a spend, could have been a lot worse!

I realise I posted my totals on Wednesday but haven't yet updated my signature so I will do that now. Considering I used to do it every time I PADded (daily!) I've really let things slide :D

I'll do that and then I need to crack on with work

Morning all, I hope you've all had a lovely bank holiday weekend :)

I had a very restrained weekend in terms of spending, I bought a new lamp for the home office on Saturday for the bargain price of £17 (should have been £69) and that was it. I spent most of the weekend pottering at home and doing some reading.

Today's PAD included £5 to the sabbatical as usual, yesterday I filled another envelope for the 52 week envelope challenge, I'm a fair way from the next bonus one, which is £22. My Prolific currently stands at £4.75 so we will see how long it takes me...

Not a NSD today as I'm out tonight, but I'm driving so it will be a low spend evening. I'm also not planning on it being a late one as I am feeling a little under the weather and could do with a few decent nights' sleep as I have been coughing myself awake lately.  My day off this week is Friday and I am going out with a friend to do some shopping so this won't be a week where I have budget left I believe!

That's all from me, I have a busy day ahead.

Well, happy Wednesday all. Not sure what's happened to the weather but I'm glad I've not yet packed away my winter clothes yet as I've opted for a jumper this morning.

So, the dice rolls this morning for my savings challenge were high, £132 in total so that's been sent to the sealed pot. I mean, it all gets saved for a good reason so I shouldn't complain really should I?

It's a NSD for me, I have no plans today. I spent a bit more than I intended last night as DSD accompanied me and I bought her drinks but it still wasn't too bad.

I'm ashamed to say I have been procrastinating with the home and the car insurances... I still haven't sorted them and I only have a week to go. Not like me at all, I'm probably putting it off due to it being more expensive with the addition of a provisional licence holder. I will try and do it tonight. It's not hard, just tedious...although much easier than when I first passed my test and you had to ring round the insurance companies from the Yellow Pages and Thompson Local for quotes. It took the best part of a day! I guess I am showing my age now :(

    There's me, waffling again...
    I'm off to work

Good morning! Would you be surprised if I told you I still haven't sorted my insurances out? No? Ah well... al the best of intentions yesterday turned to folly and then after dinner last night I just read my book.

Anyway, I am aiming to do my insurances today at lunchtime... Until then, my sinking funds remain intact :D

Today's PAD was just £5 to the sabbatical, I will be adding something to the EF tomorrow but not sure how much yet. I've been surprised at how quickly I've been able to bolster it back up, over £350 already so that's good.

It's a NSD for me today, not yet had the plans for tomorrow with my friend confirmed but either way I will enjoy my day off :)

Catch you all later, I hope you have great days!

Just a quick update from me as I am off now until Tuesday :)

I have transferred £61 to the EF today, as although I am out with my friend it's actually budget reset day so that's handy! Also, the only thing I'm likely to buy is clothes and I have sinking funds for that.

Glad I sorted the insurances yesterday, at least I don't have to do it on my day off... leaves a bit of gaming time :D

    Have lovely sunny days!

Good morning, what a lovely weekend we have had! It's been fabulous drying weather and we went for a lovely walk yesterday morning around the reservoir, it's a real shame to have to go back to work!

I've been PADding as usual, and £61 got added to the EF on Friday as I went shopping and didn't buy anything! Yay for me :D Not a NSD for me today though as I'm off out for pool tonight.

Not much is happening for me at the moment, I am just juggling things in real life, as you do. At some point I need to re-evaluate the budget for the joint account as all the bills have gone up recently and the cost of the weekly groceries seems to be creeping up every time I go. Considering how long it took me to sort the insurances, I am not confident that task will be boxed off anytime soon!

Anyway, I hope you've all had a lovely sunny weekend and have good days ahead of you

Hi all, just a quick one from me as I have a super-busy day ahead and early meetings.

It's a NSD for me today, last night wasn't too spendy either so that was a bonus, there should be a fair bit of budget left to throw at the EF this week - winner! We have no plans for the weekend either which is great :)

Today's PAD included my dice rolls (£107!) and the usual £5 to the sabbatical. I also had about £6 in change which got added to the physical seal pot. I'm on my second tin now and they are the ones where you need a can opener. It's the first time I've used them and hopefully they'll work well and can go in with the recycling once opened?

Anyway, that's it from me, all in all I'm fairly comfortable that despite some big expenses this month I have a good buffer if I need it.

    Toodles
