  • Did you go to Lanzarote as I know the weather hasn’t been great there? We’re going a week on Monday so hoping it’s better by then.
You guessed correctly, it rained every day 😩

Well, I didn't check the emails Ant, but I did peek at the calendar to make sure nobody had booked me out this morning and to my surprise (and delight) they hadn't :)

Back to work for me this morning and I really don't want to (insert tantrum-ing toddler here!) I would rather be reading my book on the new deck in the garden with my back to the deck which still needs to be replaced B) We are going to have to tackle that sooner rather than later before that collapses too but I need to save up first!

So, holiday a distant memory, coffers depleted, no tan because the weather was rubbish.... I'm definitely feeling sorry for myself today! I think I need a coffee...

My PAD of £5 has been made to the sabbatical, and it's not a NSD as I am out tonight with the pool team for a practice session. Not drinking though so the spends should be low. I get paid early this month so it will be this Friday as it was due on Sunday, therefore only a few more days to go, it's my day off Friday too so that will be nice, as both hubby and DSD are working.

I've been bombarded over the weekend by emails from comparison sites as both my car and the home insurance are due, so my lunch break will be taken up with that I'm predicting! Will be looking to add DSD to the policy as she is learning and it will be cheaper than the stand alone policy she has at the moment.

    Wish me luck with that!
    Have lovely sunny days :)

  • Cashed £30 from Prolific so I have stuffed my £30 envelope for my challenge. I still have £11+ pending too :)

  • Good morning, how nice that it's already Wednesday :)

Wednesday is dice roll day for me, so £76 has been sent to the sealed pot from those, plus £5 to the sabbatical. I've also put £40 of my cash budget into the EF as I have no spending plans for the rest of the week. It removes it from temptation anyway!

It's a NSD for me, and should be tomorrow too. I have a day off on Friday which is also pay day, I also have a therapy session booked so I will have to pay for parking. I am hoping for a no spend weekend though... will see what happens.

That's it for my updates, I need to get to £23 on Prolific for the next envelope to be filled so that will take some time but I'm happy that I have been able to fill 7 extra ones already :D

    Have fab days

  • I hope everyone is having a good week? It's pay day eve for me so I have put the remaining money from my account into my sinking funds. That's an extra £75 :)

It's therefore a NSD for me, as the cash budget for the week has already been squirrelled away to the EF.  There's not much else happening in the world of LMD... After the holiday I want to try and have a few months where I spend a lot less, especially as the second (and more complicated) part of the deck needs to be done at some point.

I'm off tomorrow so not sure if I will be posting or not. There's a new update which has been released for the video game I play (a free one) and it introduces one of my favourite literary characters so I may just blow the day and play that until it's time for therapy. Not very 'adult' of me but it will make me happy :)

Happy Friday! It's pay day so I am just going to sort the budget whilst I have my first cuppa, then I will take the dog out for a walk, he's still in bed and just keeps glaring at me when I make noise before doing a big 'huff' and going back to sleep. :D

It's not a NSD as I need to pay for parking at therapy. I may also treat myself to a pay day Costa on the way home.

This is absolutely my plan @FootyFanDan, and I am very much looking forward to it!!

  • Just a quick update today as I have an early call in a few minutes. I had a no spend weekend! And today is also a NSD, I am very pleased :)

My PAD was a biggie as the first of our holiday payments came out, this is the first time I have done it by Direct Debit and I'm not sure I like it. It did inlcude £9 to the sealed pot and £5 to the sabbatical though.

Things have all gone quiet on Prolific now I have cashed out... I'm hoping it's due to the easter holidays and it will pick up again now.

    That's it from me

  • Well, funny I mentioned Prolific as I got a good survey yesterday for £12 and then one this morning with an immediate £4 payment so I've managed to cash out £23 and send that to the sealed pot for my envelope challenge :). I'm very pleased!  The next amount I need to get to is £31 so that will take some time...

Anyway, happy Tuesday! It's already really sunny here and I've been watching the squirrels playing in the trees, they're very cute and super agile! The dog always wants to chase them though, he actually got hold of a hedgehog last night from under the old section of deck... I had to make him drop it and then push it back to safety. I checked on it this morning and it's mover so I am hoping it's OK. It was already in a ball when the little sod grabbed it.

I'm waffling, must be the sunshine! So, it's not a NSD for me today as I am off out with the pool team. My PAD was £58 which included £5 sabbatical and £23 to the sealed pot. I don't have many plans this week so I should be able to add some more to the EF on Friday.

That's all from me though, I'll so the monthly update tomorrow :)
