Go and Intelligent Go are different tariffs, with different overnight rates.
I recommend watching the Gary Does Solar videos, on Youtube. He explains all the Octopus tariffs very clearly.0 -

I don't have battery storage nor an EV but can usually restrict heavy consumption between 4 and 7. Should I be equally enthusiastic?
If you weren't a micromanagement enthusiast would the same apply?I think the allure of agile is only there because I have a battery. During the autumn or winter I think agile without a battery would be a pain in the backside, unless you can shift heavy utilisation till after 22:30 when the prices typically come down.
Running the dishwasher and washing machine in the middle of the night has become our way of working whether on IOG or Agile (or previously on E7).
I really enjoyed tracking and changing my import prices to the cheapest slots (for my battery) but it did become a bit obsessive..!2 -
Another IOG and ex-Agile contemplating the move back to Agile. I have solar but no battery except the one in my car but should be able to make it work as I don't do a large regular mileage demanding charging come what may. It's a lot easier managing Agile if you are on your own like I am and, although I entertain, the evening peak period really won't be a big issue for the next six months. All my hot water until October will now be by solar via a diverter.OK, I'll add it to my to-do list for Wednesday. Anybody remember how long they take to action it?0

Agile can work well, even without batteries (and obviously even better with batteries). We do not have solar/batteries, and are able to make Agile work well for us. We are home all day, and manage to shift thinks like washing machine and dishwasher to cheaper slots. Cooking is mostly done in the evening which is our biggest issue - we try to eat early or late if it involves the electric oven, otherwise we can cook using the gas hob. Even on days we do cook at peak times, we are largely just offsetting (some of) the savings from the rest of the day. Our background usage is quite high, so benefits from 21h/day of cheaper rates. Our daily average price beats the tracker price most days, and equals it on our worst days.1

It usually starts the next full day.

My old tariff ( Octopus go) for April has a standing charge of 65.37p per day.

i then moved to IOG, and it’s a bit trickier to track the price differences using Octopus Compare because IOG sometimes creates additional off peak price points and Octopus Compare doesn’t calculate for that.
but, long story short, I miss the micromanagement and work that comes with Agile.
Super cheap (<6p) or plunge gives me the most satisfaction, but plunge is few and far between.
for the next few months I will carefully monitor my spend. Realistically I am already plotting my return to Agile - but I don’t know when, yet…3 -

I have to admit I was looking at the weather forecast.. :-)

I put a switch on Friday and I got confirmation email I was switched on Saturday, but on app the tariff still showed flexible. I went to twitter and message them yesterday and they saying Gas been switched to tracker but electric- they say "we need to connect to yr smart meter , at the moment it looks like we struggling to connect yr electric , so im going to run some checks on meter and get back to you with next steps"
Any idea why the electric not connecting?, I been smart many years , was with shell then taken over from octupus? i have notice previously that electric usage not been showing on the app after i was switched over to octupus
