Now had a full month on Agile and at the current prices would absolutely recommend anyone considering making the switch to give it a go, the savings I’ve had so far have well exceeded my expectations for the surprisingly minimal impact it’s had on my lifestyle. I’ve not made any changes to cooking/entertainment over peak times, largely just shifting of heavy load appliances and hot water heating into the cheapest periods which is just a matter of adjusting timers now and then.
For the month overall I’ve apparently saved 44% from my previous fixed tariff (and 22% against Tracker), and in doing so for much of the month I’ve also been able to maintain a tank of hot water available on demand rather than only heating enough for a daily shower as I was over winter.
Will use this month’s savings with my Octopoints from the DFS sessions to cover the £75 exit fee paid on the fix, then from there on anything saved on Agile will be a direct saving over what I would have paid for the next 5 months staying on the fix.Moo…4 -
Does anyone know what the new daily standing charge is for Agile, or has it not changed?

I am currently on the Tracker tariff but am considering the option of moving to Agile, pros and cons. One aspect: With the multiplicity of half hourly readings is it not difficult to keep track of the many invoices and check for any errors or glitches?
Has anyone had experience of conditions when over a reasonable time span Agile has not been competitive against Tracker?Telegraph Sam

I'm pretty certain that everyone who has posted about moving from Tracker to Agile have found they've saved even more money.
Every half-hour is itemised on your 30+ page bill. I've never seen any errors.0 -
Tks.
I've been told that recent conditions have been favourable to Agile and that this may not be permanent. Which is why I've been trying to make the comparisons over the "medium" rather than the short term. Not easy. And not forgetting the 9 month wait to get back on Tracker if one has second thoughts. I'd imagine that other readers in this forum would have gone through the same ponderings?.
I quake at the thought of getting a 30 page bill every month. I think I'd just leave it unchecked and hope for the best.Telegraph Sam
