I'm trying to work out how to best schedule my battery to export and import to take advantage of 15p going out and 0p coming back in, leaving enough space to get paid 3.97p-1.1p between 8 and 9.30am.

The immersion is lined up for that time

I've had a productive day! Three loads of washing and drying, most of it ironed, ran the dishwasher (saved from last night). The washing machine and dishwasher have both had a hot cleaning cycle.

I've used my electric fire to warm the house, charged my car, and had a shower. All for just a few pence.

I see we have quite a bit of free electricity overnight, and another negative slot in the morning. Sadly I've run out of things to wash and charge!
Spring cleaning time, get those curtains washed! Could that patio do with a jet wash? Steam clean the bathroom grout? Bake cakes/bread? (I did a dozen muffins, 3 loaves and a batch of hot cross buns today)
i did all my laundry today. I do need to jetwash the patio, but I don't think the neighbours would thank me for doing that at 8am on Sunday morning, even if I offer to go halves with them on the money I'll make :)

Some free slots coming overnight and some good negative slots around early breakfast tomorrow too.

-3.97p at 8-8.30am in our area.
Yeah same here. Is it sad that I am scheduling my morning shower at 8am?!

I'm wondering if I can get another load of washing together to take advantage of the free overnight power, then it can go in the dryer at 8am to take advantage of the negative price.

I'm new to Agile and this is the first time I've seen negative pricing. Does the excitement wear off?
Haha it does go away, when you realise how much you have saved. A typical modern house in UK can use up to 12kWh during the 30mins.. and I haven't managed to get more than 6 ever.

So if we get -3p tomorrow, we're really talking about up to £0.18 savings, or during other 1p slots about £0.06..

All in all, scheduling everything during that time will earn you enough money to buy a banana 🍌
It's not the few pence you make through negative pricing that's exciting me, it's the money I haven't spent because of the free (or almost free) hours. If I was on the standard OFGEM price cap rate, the electricity I've used today would have cost me about £13, instead it's cost me 13p. I wouldn't normally have done as much laundry on one day, but it would all have been washed and dried at some point. The only 'extra' I've done is using an electric heater but that's saved on the gas bill so all good.

I managed to pull down 46kWh so far today, costing me a massive 63p

    Anyone beat that?

My estimated usage today is just under 16 kWh.

    At Tracker's price, around £1.90 + SC.

    At Agile's price, 19p + SC.

Alarm clock set so I can make use of the 8am -3.97p rate tomorrow.

Every day since I moved to Agile from Tracker, Agile has been cheaper.  Not really changed much timed usage - unless it is a significant change.

From 15 Feb until yesterday, I have saved £10.64 by moving to Agile.

I moved from Intellegent Go. I own an EV which is why I originally chose IOG,  and I was doing my best to load shift to the night time, but I wasn't keen on running things like the tumble dryer while I was asleep. The Octopus Compare app says I've saved £27 by being on Agile compared to IOG in the last month. This probably isn't completely accurate as I've changed my load shifting arrangements now, but it works for me. And of course we're comparing various discounted rates - if we compare with the standard rate our savings are even more.

    120kWh,

    Charge EV
Run ASHP over night ( only 4th time switched on all winter though)
All the washing and tumble drying
Pyro cycle to clean the oven
2 or 3 Dish washer cycles

Currently sitting in hot tub at 40 deg

Not sure what to do tomorrow morning

Just realised the 63p included standing charge so it's actually 13p for 46kWh!
