We've got panels and batteries so I've managed to charge in cheap slots overnight. I cherry pick these on a daily basis, we're not importing much but have managed to get my average rate down to 11.76p for the last month, 11.03p in the last week. Batteries are pretty full but I will top up tonight in the slots under 7p, and if we get any export tomorrow we'll be paid 15p.

Yeah, very interesting day - chances for negative from 0-16 

And not like -0.3p, but BIG ones

First time I'll have had negative pricing. Opportunity to export out the batteries in advance at 15p and get paid to top up perhaps. Can see the immersion coming in to play also.

Haha expectations were -20p at peak.
But instead only two 30 mins slots with -0.6p

But free electricity from 8-16 is not bad.. I wonder if they prepared it for some last minute freebie for Octoplus members?

Ours is only free 10.30-14.30, with some odd half hours overnight.  Some other very cheap slots. Will plan a strategy to make the most of it.

Yeah, by free I meant under 1p - the rates are more or less the same everywhere.
Two negative slots 8am and 3pm.
Free (actually 0p):
1:30, 3:30, 4:30, 10:30-14:30

6h average from 9:30-15:30 = 0.08p

Two negative slots here at -0.7p, and the majority of the rest between 00-16:00 are either free or very cheap - happy days

Think I might export the battery at 15p/kwh tonight from 9pm-midnight, import from midnight til 4am, export from 4am-7.59am, have an import for that negative half hour at 8am, then see how we are for charge at that point, and top up the battery from 10.30 onwards. Got the immersion programmed up to come on at 8am for a half hour, and again in a negative slot in the afternoon. Might bake a cake in the afternoon.
