I have tried to make a comparison using the previous year's use and the Low S/C works out at approx £708 if I have worked it out correctly on my revised yearly use of 1975kwh. If I compare with both Agile (29.76kwh when I did calculation tonight), SVT & 12 month fix Aug V6, I get Agile £770 (obviously not strictly accurate due to price fluctuations) SVT £677 (obviously this will increase each time the price cap does), 12 month fix Aug V6 £694.41 and Fuse 18m Fix is showing as £604 on MSE Energy comparison.

On first look Low S/C definitely not as good as I expected and Fuse looking the best option, but then I need to consider my export prices which would drop drastically from 12p kwh to 4.1kwh according to chart on MSE which would mean my export (using the last 12 months figures and working on the 12pkwh not the 15pkwh it was for a lot of the year to make a more even comparison going forward) £259.89 v £88.79 on the 4.1pkwh rate means what I would save moving to fuse I would lose in my export payments by approx £171.10. So now the 12 Oct Aug V6 Fix looking the best of a bad bunch if I don't want to be watching the Agile 30 min rates and want to keep my current export rate.

I totally see now what you mean by fraught, clearly I have missed the long discussions over the years being quite new to Agile)

Thank you, I see now having a quick look-up that a ceasefire broke down so maybe the ceasefire was what helped prices come down for a short while. Either way, useful to know/be reminded about the Strait of Hormuz as a major factor, thanks :)

Does anybody else find that if they choose 'change tarrif' in the electric section of the app or website it only gives options for changing the gas tarrif? I'm on Agile for electric and SVT for gas …
