I shall be using my free hour to boil the kettle and cook dinner and then spend the evening reading by candlelight listening to how silent the house is without the fridge/freezer running …

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.0 -
Every cloud….
If you are on Agile Export and IOG, you are raking it in today with a fair bit of solar available as well…

Hey all - Agile is pretty brutal atm. A few weeks ago I was being paid to use electricity, now its costing me over 31p pkWh. This is supposed to be the least expensive part of the day. It will be close to 60p during peak.
Is there a consensus on whether to stay the course or jump ship? I just renewed mine so if I leave, I am out of the scheme for at least nine months,

Where did you see that? As far as I'm aware that's only for Tracker, whereas Agile is subject to the 30 day period between switching smart tariffs.

Worry not, those of you running out of knickers, Agile Predict has today noted a drop in prices for the next few days and really good at the weekend. We all appreciate that this may change, but after high prices on the continent too (higher than here) the wind arriving I'd guess is fairly general.
Today my solar is good here in the south and my immersion is hot. As noted above Agile is OK if there are dips to match the peaks. My last bill a week ago was at a net 15.2p a kWh, so that is my marker at the moment. Time to start bakingand batch cooking again soon..

You need to set yourself an exit rule rather than act on emotions - lets say if you get a month bill with rate higher than SVR?
Othetwise you may leave too early.

And here we go, 5th or 6th negative day this month tomorrow. Cheap on Friday and likely negative Saturday 😅

Possibly very negative Sunday?! Car's in for service/MOT tomorrow so can't use tomorrow's negative but might gain from that..
