This is the Hugo app. Looks like it's been updated to include Agile tariff recently.  I've never taken much notice of the spend only the actual usage as it didn't match.  Both gas and electric look about right so that's quite handy

It's a bit upsetting when you see tomorrow's unit rate is 2878.18% higher than today's :)

Our average rate was 1.13p yesterday (43p paid for 38kWh used), and I earned a massive 2.75p in the negative periods. We also used no oil as the house was totally heated on electric.
Day's like yesterday totally screw my average usage / savings calculations as I used twice as much electricity as I normally would because it was effectively free. Not sure how to feed that into the monthly calculations.

I used 21.53 kwh yesterday (average at the moment is about 2kwh with the solar). Cost me 3p plus the standing charges.  Earned about £2.50 from exporting what had been in the battery overnight from the solar, plus what we'd imported for nothing.  Switched off the fully charged batteries at one point to stop them being depleted and ran the house off the mains for a while.  The savings on the electric offset the gas and we ended up 33p better off for the day.

This morning when it was negative I descaled the kettle, amongst other power hungry things!

I used 48.7kWh yesterday and it cost me the grand sum of 71p.

Today's figures won't be as impressive. I did some washing etc this morning while it was free, but this afternoon I mowed the lawn while the price was higher. Shame I don't have a battery lawn mower.
  • Hello,

I normally frequent social media groups but found this energy group via a Google search.

It appears a little less toxic here.

It was a great weekend for Agile wasn't it.

Yeah, after two days of 0p hours during the day, I've run out of things to do. Everything washed, everything cleaned, descaled, water tanks heat up to max, as well as house brought to tropical temperatures that lasted throughout the day with no need for further heating during the day :)

Both days about 28kWh, both under 1p/kWh.

Also, had someone to get my meter readings today first time in many years - that's felt so old school! 😂

Just worked out that yesterday I used 13.5 KwH of electricity (I usually average 3 - 4) and thanks to Agile pricing it cost me just 2p!  Eat your heart out non-Agile customers and smart meter luddites.

Satisfied customer of Octopus Agile - past savings on average 33% of standard tarrif

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.
  • The last two days have been my cheapest days for the whole month and I expect my usage will be fairly low this week given all the cooking and washing I managed to get through on Saturday 😂😂. Saturday might be my highest ever energy day.

I didn’t have my EV for about a week this month so my savings are slightly down overall compared to Tracker but I’m happy with that!
