Octopus Agile

Looks like tomorrow's Agile pricing will be good (possible multiple zero and negative periods), but before charging everything to max, the offshore wind forecast for Sunday is even more than tomorrow (unless you are on a small boat) so it might be just as good or even better on Sunday.1

Wind and solar is looking better than we had on the 23rd March, so signs are promising. Wish Octo compare would get a hurry on

Below zero prices, most of the day, tomorrow.
I knew there was a good reason to put the car in sport mode to go to the shops! (actually, it still turned in 4.4miles /kWh, almost disappointingly)1 -
I like when there is one or two slots - easy to decide when to do what, but with almost entire day of negative is hard to decide.. 😉0

Well I didn't even get any charging in the cheap slot this afternoon as it was sunny here and we were exporting. I shall dump the contents of the battery overnight, recharge between 3.30-6am when it's from negative to 0.22p dump it again and recharge after 10.30am when it's negative again. Plus a day for washing bedding and putting it through the tumble drier, plus the decorating cloths as previously mentioned. OH wants his goretex jackets washed so will put them on overnight too. It's due to be warm here tomorrow, but the winds are going to be strong, so with windchill we may still turn the oil filled radiator on as well. Must line up the immersion heater and turn off the boiler hot water cycle.

My switch to Octopus was finalised yesterday and wasn't expecting to be able to get transferred to Agile for quite some time, so very surprised to be sent emails to accept the new T&C's for it this afternoon and find my tariff backdated and changed as of midnight today. Only one day on the Flex tariff as a new customer before being boarded onto Agile, couldn't be happier.4

The poor old hoover and electric heaters won't know what has hit them, tomorrow...2

They need you to use as much free electricity as you can tomorrow!
You'll find that you've been backdated to midnight last night most likely, that's what happens to most of us.

Ha yes, I just took a look at the prices. Couldn't have happened at a better time I guess. Looks like it's batch cooking weekend, with a touch of early spring cleaning thrown in too for good measure!Slinky said:Jyana said:My switch to Octopus was finalised yesterday and wasn't expecting to be able to get transferred to Agile for quite some time, so very surprised to be sent emails to accept the new T&C's for it this afternoon and find my tariff backdated and changed as of midnight today. I couldn’t resist and moved back to agile already. I miss the micromanagement, and cheap prices!2
