We've used 22kwh today, and exported just under 9kwh. I could have taken advantage of doing another forced export during the time when import price was negative, but it felt a bit off sending power out to the grid when there was already too much on it. We were out for several hours but still managed to put through 4 loads in the washing machine, one in the drier. Didn't want to tumble dry the decorating cloths and end up getting bits of dried paint all over the drum. One thing I did spot today is that the Solis inverter app is collecting Octopus data for the half hour pricing, but is displaying it in GMT. Don't know how this is happening, but the inverter is set to follow phone time which is now on BST. Good job I didn't use the info from the Solis app last night when programming the charge/discharge cycles.Make £2025 in 2025

Ended up with being paid 1p yesterday after taking the standing charge into consideration and used 43.13kwh. Bargain

I ended up with a profit of 24p after standing charges so more than happy with that - just a bit scary when you see how much it would have cost on SVT ...MP1995 said:Ended up with being paid 1p yesterday after taking the standing charge into consideration and used 43.13kwh. Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.0 -
I wish I'd charged the car yesterday. The prognosticators suggested even better prices today. Still, free motoring is free motoring. Mustn't grumble.1

Overnight and till about 4pm today the average is pretty much as good as yesterday - prices going up in the evening. In the end, wind generation actually peaked in the early hours We got caught in the most torrential and prolonged rain I have ever had in the UK coming back from visiting family last night - quite scary.Netexporter said:I wish I'd charged the car yesterday. Negative pricing a lot of the night and from 11am to 4pm or so even today so it seems ok to me.0 -
Just seen our charges for yesterday's electric.. Just over 1p. We did 7 lots of washing and tumble drying amongst other things. More today.

I can see mine in the app - press the usage button at the bottom. But this might only be there for people with an Octopus Mini?pritchah said:

I have an excel spreadsheet that I copy the usage figures from the 'Get your Geek on' section in 'My Energy' in online Octopus 'My Account' into and multiply it by the tariff hour by hour.pritchah said:

Yesterday my electricity cost me 41p including the standing charge. Would have been about six quid on the standard tariff. Not a huge saving really, but unfortunatly my electric car was fully charged from when we had low overnight prices in the week. And every single item of clothing and bedding I own is washed, dried and mostly ironed.
Teenager dissapointed that his share only amounted to 9p in the end! On the positive side, he's gone home now so I'm using today's free electric to treat his smelly bedding to an extra hot wash!1
