I'm only half convinced that is the full story - such as for non-EV people. More the case that Agile has the magnifier / leverage effect depending on which way the prices go. Above my pay grade. Easier to heat concrete examples

For me personally savings compared with Tracker are more interesting than with standard variable. I could imagine that present conditions favour Agile. The question is how much of a change in prices there has to be before the relationship flips over?
Are you aware that a new version of Agile was launched last week, SC for your region 69.14 p/day

I don't think I was. That might alter the odds in favour of Tracker.which I am on at present.  Up to now Oct Compare has been giving me fairly consistent results in favour of Agile using the Dec 23 tarifs - which I suppose will no longer apply for "new" Agile users?

I think it depends on how much you are prepared to alter your lifestyle to save a bit more money. If the idea of high prices during the evening peak is too much to handle, stick with Tracker. We have solar and batteries and in the duller months I play around a lot with charging in the cheap slots to cover the expensive ones, if our solar output is not enough to cover that time. If I didn't have the solar and batteries, I would stick to Tracker as being the good half way house between the standard and fixed rates, and the Agile rates.

That is much of the reasoning why I am where I am: With solars but no batteries and no EV. I can usually avoid much loading in the 4 - 7 time slot. What I find interesting is that even with these less than ideal inputs Agile has outscored Tracker recently on the basis of Dec 23 tariffs. This could change if prices generally.were to rise. But with the introduction of the new tariffs it becomes a matter of a reset presumably?

I have no batteries, solar, or EV. Last weekend 49.29kw on Agile Dec.23 cost me £0.95, Tracker Dec.23 would have cost £6.18 & current Flexible £11.85.

Today looks good. Not as good as the weekend, but the price is under 3p this afternoon between 13:30 - 16:00 in my area. So if tyou still have washing to do, today's the day!

When prices fall to near or below gas price I use electric for all heating and water heating.

Good point. I'm working at home today so will use the electric heater if my office gets chilly this afternoon, and might put the electric fire on in the living room for an hour to warm it up a bit. Got the car scheduled to charge this afternoon too, and the dishwasher loaded ready to go!
