*Really* wishing I could have delayed my hair wash until tomorrow
(electric shower, currently on Cosy but will switch to Agile again tomorrow - the week ahead looks like it should still be marginally cheaper for us). 0 -
Yes, those prices look tempting, so I've hit the switch button. Waiting for the confirmation email - any idea how long that can take? It says up to 14 days, but if it doesn't arrive today I won't be accepting.Spoonie_Turtle said:*Really* wishing I could have delayed my hair wash until tomorrow

It's tended to be either a few hours or a few minutes when I've switched recently.NedS said:

Their emails are often delayed. If you go on the my account section of the website, there is a link to my email history and you will probably find it in there.

Looks like one maybe two days cheaper on Agile but we are away, I can't see it being cheaper for the week though looking at emoncms.Spoonie_Turtle said:*Really* wishing I could have delayed my hair wash until tomorrow

Heating on low as good temps during the day and only on during Cosy periods should mean a 15p kwh average whilst away and only 10kwh used yesterday. Not sure I will bother this time but may do it might work out 50p saving🤪

Just wondering how Octopus keep up with the billing on that? Our green credentials: 12kW Samsung ASHP for heating, 7.2kWp Solar (South facing), Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh), Net exporter0 -
That's the norm on Agile in the summer. Solar production coincides with a relatively low demand period.QrizB said:I'm not on Agile (I'm IOG) but I've pushed tonight's EV charging window all the way back to 11am (the latest I can set) and Octopus have given me a charging slot from 1000-1100.It won't save me any money but it illustrates the weird situation tomorrow where daytime electricity is cheaper than nighttime.1 -
Sure, but it's March! Also per the stats, solar is only making ~13% of the UK's electricity at the moment, with wind contributing 53%.bob2302 said:

So it looks like a surplus of daytime wind that has driven prices down today.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. cheap night ahead by the looks of it (3p) fill ya boots
just cooked lump of beef, washer been on all for around 10p2 -
Over the past month I'd have saved about £4 on Agile. Seeing today's prices I switched back and took advantage of heating my thermal store for less than it would cost with gas. Still cold enough to need the odd bit of heating on here so every little helps.
