We were on Agile for nearly 12 months in November we switched back from Agile to standard Octopus Go, financially we are finding the Go rate better.

Thursday was the first time in three weeks that I would have been better on Fixed and it's not looking great judging by emoncms.

Anyone thinking of jumping back to Fixed for a short length of time? If I use the links @TroubledTarts provided, it should be all automated and not worry about the 30 day rule?

I jumped onto the 16M fixed for a few days in mid-February but was back on Agile within a week. There hasn't been a day since 13 Feb when a fixed tariff was cheaper for me, and even then there was only a few pence in it.

The switch back and to was immediately, all done online, and no problem at all.

Same here - life was just boring on a fixed rate and I missed the thought that I might be able to claw back a few pennies just by moving usage around a bit ...

Am I right in thinking that those of you going back to Agile from Fix don't have batteries? We have solar and batteries and I'm not seeing any advantage in going back to Agile at the moment.

I don't have batteries - but don't get back from work until 7pm, so it works for me.

No batteries and a very low user - 2 to 3 kWh a day ...

I don't follow this. Solar may make a difference, but just comparing the cases: with and without a battery, if agile is cheaper without a battery, it should also be cheaper with.

I'm currently using Economy 7 alongside my solar and batteries. The little I need to import is currently under 14p into my batteries at night time, I'm not seeing Agile rates lower overnight than these at the moment. If there are cheap rates during the day, it's debateable if it's much use to me if it's a sunny day and I have fully charged batteries. I'm also benefiting from the fixed day rate being cheaper than the Agile peak in the 4-7pm slot where I'll occasionally need more than I can pull from the batteries if say the oven and microwave are on at the same time.
