In general I am a big fan of Octopus and of Agile in particular, but just wondering if I am unique in having to chase them every month for a statement? I'm still waiitng for for the June/July statement which should have been produced on 25th July and according to the app is still subject to manual checking (although their Twitter adviser says everything is ok). I've cut my monthly DD down to £1 because I'm a bit wary of them now and pay whatever the app says is due but would like to have an actual statement to compare against what I think I have used and when.
I had last two months of electric merged into one bill but it was accurate so I'm not contacting them over a delay.  The Octopus app with the octopus mini gives me all the info I need

Not forgetting the depreciation is something like 50p per mile.

Just mentioning this for others than may follow the advice thinking they are saving money.
The car depreciates just sitting on the drive.

No, miles also add to depreciation and that should factor in costs.

A car that sits on a drive doing 2000 miles a year is worth a lot less than one than does 6000 miles a year and that difference is the cost per mile.

    Miles are not free

That wasn't what was meant, just pointing out using miles up from charged EV for a negative price event needs to factor im the costs. For others reading thinking it is free.

Nothing more, nothing less. People forget the running costs of not just EV's but appliances and wear and tear when they use them for just fractions of pennies needlessly. It's a false economy

But I will leave it now back to enjoying my 0.44p return per kwh.

Wierd amount of missing slots for my electric yesterday. Anybody else experienced something like this? We've had the odd half hour or two occasionally, but never seen anything like this before.

I lost all but the first half-hour of a day, recently. I noticed because my bill hadn't materialised in the usual timeframe. Anyway, after a few days all the data came back, as I presume they interrogated the meter manually. Still waiting for the bill, though.

My electric is ok, but my gas meter hasn’t communicated since Sunday 🤦‍♀️
  • I’ve run out of things to charge, wash and clean for tomorrows plunge pricing 🤷‍♀️ Have invited a friend to charge their EV here though 😆
