Sometimes food that is easy to find in one part of the country isn’t always available in other areas.
would've . . . could've . . . should've . . .

Now I love cake, but I draw the line at one cooked in the microwave. Not my kind of thing at all.Katiehound said:Come on..... sponge pudding in microwave is very easy

Talking about cakes, I never got over the loss of Kunzle cakes

Cadbury Bar six. Made a brief comeback about 10-15 years ago called something else but after a while it was lost forever too1

Curry Ketchup in the supermarkets. Own brand versions in Tesco & Lidl have disappeared and Home Bargains no longer have the 300g Hela original at 89p. Available on Amazon but ridiculously priced.

Crucials garlic and herb sauce has disappeared recently - I've been adding random herbs to their garlic mayo to appease my partners cravings, which is apparently nice but not the same. I'm well aware other garlic and herb dips exist, but this was £1.25-ish for 500ml, there's nothing I can find even close to that cheap!1

Dark bounties are also on the missing list, just glad I stocked up.

That takes me back! A Kunzle cake was a special treat sometimes if my parents went out and left me with a babysitter. I loved them!HillStreetBlues said:Talking about cakes, I never got over the loss of Kunzle cakes

Never heard of these and had to look them up. They sound rather calorie heavy and 🤢GaleSF63 said:

Whilst. I did like this product, I don't mourn its loss. A bit like Entlemann's cakes:olgadapolga said:
My husband is still mourning the loss of the Sara Lee Pecan Danish from years ago. They stopped doing them and he's never got over it.Teapot55 said:Just noticed a recent post about difficulties tracking down evaporated milk. I must say we buy that a lot less nowadays, but which foods do you still love?
We’re going to go to the trouble today of making our own steak & kidney pudding. Not so easy to find ready-made ones nowadays. (The canteen in our local hospital used to do the most amazing ones but the canteen went and then so did the hospital).
