Still short on supply of tomatoes in the Asda. Lots of small cherry tomatoes, but rarely any standard tomatoes.0

Pan fry in Olive oil for 7 minutes.Krakkkers said:Why were there Locusts in Tesco?
Apparently Locusts produce less methane than cattle - food of the future then....2 -
Wholemeal flour in 500g bags is another one. Occasionally we make chappatis to go with homemade curry. Wholemeal flour doesn’t keep as well as white flour. A 500g bag (1lb in old money) is plenty big enough. Used to be able to get it in Waitrose. Tried the local asian supermarkets: only giant bags available. Help! Anyone?

There is an online store that sells it for 70p but probably not feasible to place an order just for that. However, our town's market has a stall that sells loose bakery and cooking ingredients. Do you have something similar you could investigate?2

Odd person out here I suspect but I miss Fudgeos, Coffee Crisps, Sweet Maries, Red River Cereal, Timbits (yes available about 150 miles away), Caramilks, Nanimo bars, and proper peaches. And good beef steak tomatoes. And Macintosh apples. And frozen concentrated lemonade. And condensed cream of mushroom soup. Thankfully I have a small stash of Crispy Crunch hidden from him in the other room. I open the secret drawer and look at them lovingly before I take a strengthening breath and shut them away again.
Anyone here spotted any cherry juice that wasn't full of sweetener?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Not seen any talc in either of those stores - nor QD for that matter - for a long time now around the Bedford / MK areas at least. SWMBO and I are keeping an eye open for it in all the stores we frequent.YoungBlueEyes said:Hang on, you can get Imperial Leather talc… himself uses the soap and one day I lifted the talc when I saw them together.Where was I - prolly a B+M or Home Bargains sort of place.1 -
thanks! I'll have a look for it. I just hate all the sweetener that's put in things these days. It tastes foul to me.maman said:My DH loves cherry juice @Brie, a habit picked up from Turkish holidays. 🌞😎
He finds Sainsburys cherry juice drink acceptable, it has 2.6g of sugar per 100ml.🤔I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Imperial leather bodywash in Tesco last week- but it was not the traditional colouring: totally different scents.
There were also IL 'gentle care' tablets of soap.
'Original' IL tablets of soap in Superdrug & Boots
You can still get Campbell's condensed mushroom soup-it's also in Tesco (the very large stores) @ £1.20 per tin. I also found it in a 'cheapie' shop 10 pence cheaper. Jamie used it in a chicken pie in his £1 meals seriesBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
