Escape to the country & living off savings

🤣😂That list above is definitely not my plan for today Tresinia but I plan on making a start
I’ve been lacking in motivation and have been managing the basics (keep myself, house and clothes clean) but nothing else apart from sadmin. I want to try and move forward as the weather gets dryer / warmer. I hardly moved from the sofa yesterday after DS went home, but it was cold and cloudy so that’s my excuse 😉
Today’s forecast is rain and cloudy again but I AM going to make a start on the cupboard under the stairs and will report back later.

The sadmin has been a significant, unavoidable load on you for quite a while. Once you’ve got past it, you will be able to start doing more for you again x

Do not underestimate that fact that you're still keeping going. You've been doing extremely well just keeping up to date with your 'basics' which are in fact, quite significant achievements when you consider everything else.
Gloomy, cold or rainy weather is never helpful for motivation even when the days are longer and lighter. I feel like we had 3 days of proper Spring here last week… and now we're back to mild winter with the grey skies and either drizzle or mizzle 😕
Good luck with that cupboard … I have one of tow of those to tackle myself!

You are right KK it just feels like time is standing still when in reality it’s flying past me.
Thanks Arrietty I think I’m going to tackle the cupboard and the list to try and take my mind off things for a while
I started emptying the walk-in understairs cupboard and have a pile of stuff for the tip. There is a full tin of magnolia bathroom paint so I might use that to paint the walls and the remains of a tin of white satinwood to do the skirtings. I can actually now get in the door and open the freezer 😂
All nephews toys are sorted and in one box with a lid on so they can be brought out when he comes to visit. Another couple of boxes to clear, one is full of lightbulbs from dads so I need to sort through them 🙄 and loads of tins of partly used paint where dad helped me decorate so I need to decide what to do with them.
Off to spoons for brunch with my friend in the morning. Aqua on Tuesday. Going to stay with my sister at the weekend 😊

Actually sya, once I get it in my head, I find nothing as satisfying as a "culling of a cupboard"😁 I I am ruthless and feel emotionally cleansed afterwards haha

Still lots to sort through from the cupboard of doom but I will get there Tresinia 😍
Brunch was in ‘spoons my turn to pay £11.88 for 2 fry ups and 2 cuppas. I then bought a cute Easter card for nephew in b n m reduced from 99p to 10p and some glittery Easter bunny / egg stickers 49p in home bargains. I will also transfer £5 into his bank account nearer the time. Picked up a birthday card for my sister 1.99 and some cans of cider £3.49 for friends husband for Easter all paid from Xmas / birthday etc pot. Just need to get a bottle of fizz for my sister & £10 to put in her birthday card. Will get my friend a bottle of Asti & some daffys for Easter nearer the time.
I also bought a couple of tubes of toothpaste for store cupboard £1 each and weedkiller £3.49. I filled the car up with petrol, it already had about £10 in but as we were near the cheapest station I topped up with £30.01 ready to go to the east coast for the weekend. That will come from the visit family pot.
The sun has come out so I have sprayed the weeds on dads front & back gardens and on my drive. Now it’s gone cloudy and looks like it might rain 🙄

Sunny morning, went to aquafit. Called off for a hot roast chicken and they have stopped doing them 😭 They are now doing pizza slices, breaded chicken nuggets or wings. I came home and had a tin of soup instead 🙄
I put my swimsuit and towel plus another couple of towels on to swish but noticed when I finished my soup that the machine wasn’t working 🫣 The towels were soaking wet. I unplugged the machine and plugged it back in and it bleeped and continued the wash cycle… then blew the RCD circuit breaker 😭
I reset the RCD and the machine finished the cycle. So I’m not sure what is going on. I’ve unplugged it and won’t need anything washing until next week. May have to buy a new machine 😳
Out with niece and little nephew tomorrow 🥰

What else did you have on? The circuit used to blow here when I had the WM & the DW on & then the kettle boiled & clicked off. It was fine until the kettle clicked off.
