Escape to the country & living off savings

Thanks KK and badmemory. I don’t use much oil and definitely don’t dip bread in olive oil or pour it on salads 🤢
Another email from our solicitor with more questions from the buyers solicitor. Possibly may have to pay for some indemnity policies.
Aqua was ok today, not as cold but packed (max 30) so I got out 10 minutes before the end. Called at asd@ and got a hot chicken & some salad bits & coleslaw. Doctors after & all ok, they sent an urgent prescription to the chemist, then went to my friends for cuppa and cake 🧁
Tomorrow I am going to go to Matt Alan to return unwanted items for a refund and collect other items ordered. I need to wash & hang out towels in the morning as I forgot today 🤦♀️ which is annoying as it’s been lovely warm drying weather ☀️no heating on so far!

Those indemnity policies are a nice little earner for solicitors & normally totally pointless. When we were selling Mum's house the very large living room DG window was already over 20 years old. The people moving in were basically stripping everything out adding a couple of rooms etc etc. They had no intention of keeping that window as it was but…….. I would love to know how much they make out of every one they sell plus the amount they charge their clients for the rip off.
Can you tell I don't trust them. My father knew more law than my solicitor did & saved me half a house the solicitor was going to give away.

Radio silence from the solicitor yesterday (thank goodness). Lovely sunny but cold day. One load of towels dried outside. Drove to the retail store, returned bras for a refund and collected jumper and top. Checked new purchases in the car before leaving the area! Both as ordered.
Home and did a bit of sadmin which I need to take to the nice neighbour to sign this afternoon. Phoned a friend and walked down for a cuppa. Just needed a chat really.
Today is supposed to be warmer. 🤞I am going to make butternut squash soup in my slow cooker and do some housework. Another load of laundry to hang out then I want to try and do a bit of weeding. They are coming thick and fast. I need to get some weedkiller to put in my sprayer but I’m not sure where it is. I’m just remembering my shed is full of unwanted furniture 🫣
edit … err it’s thick fog out there so I have got back into bed 🤣❤️Mum 2018

Thanks Suze 😘 It didn’t warm up here until lunch time 🥶 but it was a nice sunny afternoon. Another email from the solicitor in the morning so I dealt with that then just spent 30 mins in the garden weeding & pottering. Went to my friends for a cuppa and called into dads for usual checks.
Rain forecast today so not expecting any more weeding to occur 😉 Aquafit cancelled as I just don’t have the energy. I will pop to aldee for a few things and pop into the library for more sadmin photocopying on the way. I’ve been recalled by the doctor this afternoon after seeing the nurse the other day for tests but she said everything was ok just said stress and anxiety dealing with grief to be expected. Am not worried I’m sure everything is ok will probably get told off for putting on half a stone and eating too much carbs and chocolate for the last 6 months🤦♀️
Will walk down to my friends after that for a cuppa and chat (no cake!)

Thanks Suze 🥰 DS arrived for an overnight stay on his way home from working up north and it has been lovely to see him. The best tonic 😊
Spent £18.39 in aldee yesterday. Bought chicken, curry sauce, milk, bacon, cheese, courgettes and peppers, pack of micro rice, tin toms & tin beans, pack of wraps. We had dinner last night and fry up this morning.
Had a lazy day once he’d gone
