16.5 degrees this morning. Getting chilly but heating not on yet. I was lovely and toasty in bed but BHF are collecting dad’s furniture/ electrical donations today between 7-5pm so I have had to get up will walk round to his house shortly. Sad day 😢 but hopefully the donations will raise money for a good charity.Yesterday I got one coat of woodstain done (took about 15 minutes) and washed out the freezer drawers ready for collection today so they no longer smell of garlic bread 🤭 All done whilst waiting for my niece and little lad to arrive. Then we went to nearby farm & restaurant where little one fed the animals 🥰 and I treated us to lunch. Had a lovely day so it was worth the cost as a one-off from the diy/emergency pot.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thank you Suze, jwil and dia 😘
It was blooming cold this morning. I took my kettle up to dads and drank tea whilst waiting for BHF. They arrived around 8.30am and took most of the items. 😢We are still left with a couple of items of furniture so I phoned the insurance and they will allow minimal furniture to remain but it is not insured. This will give us breathing space until I’ve been to stay with DS.Went home and rested until after lunch then went and put another coat of woodstain on dads windowledge & a bit on sawn ends of my fence. I also used one of dad’s drills and hung up my butterfly house 🦋
Bedding dried on the line. Stew from the freezer for dinner. Tomorrow I will hang out another load of washing and I have an estate agent coming late morning. Then I will get a bit of shopping to last until the weekend. Just some chicken thighs, milk, peach squash, bread. I have beef curry in the freezer and have lifted out some goose mince to make a chilli in the slow cooker then I will make a chicken & butternut squash casserole in my slow cooker on Thursday.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Well done on getting your DF’s home sorted & the butterfly house 🥰🥰 Glad BHF didn’t leave too much for you to have to deal with- I can highly recommend the free sites like Ol!o, fre@gle tr@sh nothing etc for passing on any furniture and bits to those who will happy to collect it and make good use of it, and prevent these things from entering landfill etc. BTW food sounding lovely and you have reminded
me I need to get some more peach squash!!

Thanks Suze. 😊
Washing hung out and dried. Estate agent 2 came to dad’s. Then I went food shopping. After lunch I loaded the car and did another trip to the tip. Unfortunately they would not take the half used bottles and tins of stuff from the shed, apparently we have to book online and go to a specialist skip at another tip that is miles away 🙄 so took it back and shoved it back into the shed 🫣 Did get rid of other stuff though.
On the way home I called into home of bargains and got a tray of 20 winter violas £2.99 my dad’s neighbour told me about and also got 2 hebe’s (one variegated leaf & dark purple flowers, one dark green with light pink flowers) only £4.79 each. I will plant them in the morning, put chicken casserole in the slow cooker, hang out more washing and then go and put a final coat of wood stain on dad’s window ledge and my fence. Estate agent 3 coming in the afternoon.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
