Sya, good call on engaging solicitor. It's hard enough to sort out an estate without navigating things like trusts. Hope it all gets sorted now and you can rest more easily3

totally agree with the above 👆 - there are just some times that we have to go to the experts which is why they are there.I had to do the same - well similar anyway engaging an internat’l attorney dealing with tax implications for small inheritance from my dearly missed grandma. Like Tresinia & jwll says it is a weight lifted off the shoulders and the estate bears the cost.
Hope you are ok and feeling better SYA xxLancashire

If there is a trust then yes get a solicitor. Is it possible he has told someone there is a trust to get them off his back because they wanted something. If there isn't a trust you will be paying a solicitor who will have you doing most of the work yourself plus making it take a good year longer.1

There is a trust. I wish there wasn’t.My sister arrived last night. We had stew from my slow cooker. Today we are clearing the house. 😢
Lots of bedding which will hopefully go to dun elm who do a recycling scheme which appears to include pillows & duvets. Will ring them first thing. Things we are keeping will come to mine. The rest is going to bhf ❤️ who will come and collect in a van. Sofa & beds that don’t have fire labels may have to be collected by the council or put in a skip (I need a skip for stuff at mine)
We are going out for lunch while delivering bedding or getting a takeout for tea. Will pay from entertainment pot.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗
Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).

Thinking of you and hoping the trust etc can be sorted out without too much bother. I'm sure people set these up with the best of intentions, but..... Sending gentle (((hugs))) XXxxI Believe.....

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
