I am having a total moratorium on the news atm - it's just so draining. I flick through the headlines on the BBC app on my tablet and leave it that mostly.
Enjoy your time with your friend

Lunch and a cheeky cocktail with a friend sounds a perfect counterbalance with overwhelm from admin.

Thanks KK and dia. 😘
Very busy day started at 9.30am photocopying in the library. We are in the middle of 3 different councils and our nearest one does photocopying for free. Then went to aldee. Shopping was £28.49. Unpacked groceries while in a phone queue for council tax. Estate agent came round & will only sell as 2 bed without planning/ building regs 😕 Spoke to both depts and email to one to check records and emailed to book archive for other. Going back to the 70’s 😉 Dads car sold on mway so multiple emails to upload V5C and various other documents and set preferences for collection date. Hopefully in next few days 🤞
Felt exhausted this evening so had a nap. Now just feel tired. 😆 Popped up to dads to close curtains before lights came on with the timer. I’ve had to move it another 15 minutes earlier. Nights are drawing in. Off to bed soon0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Well done on all you have achieved and selling the car too - m@torway can be in the habit of lowering the price they offer at the last hurdle they did it to me. Hopefully they won’t try it on with you. Also hope you get good news re the planning - I know less than nothing but would it pay to get retrospective permission if it isn’t in place?Lancashire

Thanks Suze. I’m not sure it would meet current requirements. It’s a proper room with dormer window and proper staircase. Will see what the archive shows first.I have heard of some dealers knocking down the price so am very anxious but will just hope for the best 🤞0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

doingitanyway said:…. At the end, love is all there is.
Have money shuffled interest into my current account £9.36 from this years money pot leaves £5000 remaining (£833 x 6 =£4,998.00 ). Regular saver £22.81 leaves £5k which was 6% now 5.35% gross / 5.48% AER. ISA interest £2.30 so diy/emergency pot stands at £1882.30
Credit card currently £1171.71 which is executor expenses apart from £330 donation to the british legion from dad’s funeral collection (I have the cash to pay into my account this morning in town) and £7.14 amaxon birthday cards. Hopefully once my credit card paper statement arrives I can claim most of that from dad’s local bank account who don’t need probate (funeral expenses/ wake / death certificates) and the rest will be covered by diy pot for now & claimed back eventually after probate. (Postage / stationery). The funeral bill arrived yesterday £1785.48. The rest was covered by his funeral plan. If we pay by bacs before 11 Sept we get £100 discount so I will be taking that to his bank to see if they can pay it before then. It’s chilly this morning. Thermostat says 19.5 degrees. I have put a throw over my summer quilt, for now that is warm enough.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
