A few years back my friend lost his wife, 5 weeks from diagnosis to her passing. The speed with which life can change is heartbreaking. It will take you time to process this SYA, fortunately you have your family and friends to support you both during this time and after it.
I'm pleased he's been moved to a hospice and will hopefully now get a more peaceful time.
Also good you had the POA set up which I'm sure is proving useful to manage things on your dad's behalf.

All I can say is to spend all the time you can with him, he knows how much you love him and equally you know how much you are loved. You're sorting out cars and allotments etc but these things can wait. Have the time with your Dad while you can.
Please don't be offended by that last bit, I fully understand we are all different and need to cope in different ways, so if the practicalities help you don't force yourself to be different. Also I totally get that life needs to carry on and things need to be done.
Sorry not really able to articulate this very well. Do what works for you my dear, but try to have as much time with your Dad as you can and say anything you need him to hear (mine died suddenly and unexpectedly so I never had the chance).

Sending thoughts and love to you and your family ❤️

Glad the MOT is sorted. That’s one less thing to have to manage …

I had a feeling the MOT would be for your dad’s peace of mind.

Hope your dad is comfortable today and you get some downtime.

    Sending hugs x
