As @Tresinia511 says, you and your sister are there to fight for him. It isn't fair that you have to I know, but
your DF is so lucky to have a loving family at this time. Take care of yourself and each other. Sending love to you allIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thinking of you and sending love and gentle (((hugs))) XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy3 -
Thank you all for your lovely words of kindness and support 😘
Dad is now being referred to hospice care and we are waiting for a bed 😢 I can’t believe how quickly this has happened and it’s still hard to accept. 💔 My sister is still with me. My son & his girlfriend came up for the weekend and I had wonderful cuddles with the dogs. Puppy dog is now 8 and golden girl we think about 4 (Rescue)
I have transferred money from the diy pot to pay my credit card. We are parking away from the hospital for free and walking up. Dinners was stew in the slow cooker and lunch is salad from the allotment. Dad’s car is going for a mot this week then we just need to empty the shed and hand back the allotment. Everything feels so hard and I feel like I’m walking through treacle. Friends of the family are visiting in the morning so me and my sister can take a break. We will be back in the afternoon.

Sya, I feel I am walking this journey with you, I lost my mum and dad within 8 weeks of each other, albeit 5 years since. Weeks before they died their lives were normal as ever, and the speed with which it all happens puts your head right in a spin. The only advice I can give, is time honoured, one step and one day at a time. It truly is time for closest friends family, and what a gift they are, let them support you. Much love to you all2

It is awful for you all, but you are staying together as a family and there is a lot of love (including from the dogs)
At the end, love is all there is.

Thinking of you all SYA , I think the speed of it all must be the hardest to get your head around for yourself and the family x2

Dear SYA,
oh gosh, just catching up after being absent for a while and so shocked to hear about your DF.
I'm so sorry that this is happening and you're having to navigate your way through this with so little time to process anything.
I don't intend to minimise what you're currently going through in any way at all, however, if it will offer you some small shred of comfort, I lost my Mum rapidly following a similar diagnosis some years ago and whilst the speed of events had us all reeling in shock at the time and took a long while to come to terms with; I can now look back and reflect that it was perhaps the kindest way for us all.
Sending you sympathy, love and strength.
A xx

Thank you so much for your kindness and support Suze, Tresinia, DIA and Newstartforme 🥰
Tresinia I am so sorry to hear about your parents thank you for sharing. ❤️ We nearly lost dad to sepsis 7 years ago after mum died and we were so lucky he recovered.Good news today is that dad has been moved from the hell of a general ward in hospital to the local hospice and hopefully he can now get the peace and respect he deserves. Me and my sister are going to visit after lunch.Dad’s car has gone for its mot & passed. It will be brought back later. I’ve paid on my credit card and will pop into town tomorrow and activate my power of attorney debit card and do a bank transfer from dad’s account. Payday tomorrow so I will get shopping and petrol.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Arrietty sorry we cross posted just seen your message. I think the biggest shock has been the decline within a week in hospital 😞 It’s hard to think only the first weekend of July he drove us both to my sisters and back.
