Sya, I feel your journey so very much, even though it's been 5 years for me. No one asks to be in this journey and yet most of us end up on it, one way or another. It's so hard and having a little cry new and then really helps. Good plan to get postcode sorted on lpa, little things like that might trip you up just when you could do without it. Also i found carrying on with daily activities as normal, even though it's not the usual 'normal' helped us get through. So taking care of your dad's allotment is going to comfort him so much. My mum had lung cancer and we found liquid medication in a syringe really helped her. Hopefully you can get the car sorted. I always reflect how my mum and dad helped me all my life and although hard work with all the many things you have to think of now, I found it comforting to help them with stuff when it was their time to need it. Having a sister is such a blessing at this time. Thinking of you all and sending much love and good wishes x7

Thank you all ❤️ Tresinia I was very moved by your post above about your mum and sister, thank you for sharing xx
I have cancelled aquafit for Tuesday as my aunties are coming to see dad (his sisters). His late brothers son visited yesterday with his wife and his dad’s second wife. I know I shouldn’t get annoyed but the widow kept saying she had visited in the past and the garden used to be lovely. I think she has onset altzhiemers/ dementia so I tried to let it go & I don’t think dad heard her.Niece coming today and I will look after little one while she pops to see dad. Then I will take her and little one to the allotment and lift more onions and garlic and she can take some tomatoes as there are loads daily. My lovely neighbours are finishing my fence this week. DS & gf are hoping to come at the weekend with the dogs 🥰
Lovely neighbours and various allotment folk helped me clear some old metal and plastic & various bits & pieces dad wanted rid of from the allotment yesterday. Just need to get the shed emptied then the new people lined up can take over. Dad has a special locking system on the shed so I’m still working out how to get it open, it may be booby trapped 😳😂
Still waiting for £20 refund from asd@ for dress returned on 12 July. Dad has told me not to buy any more meat and to start taking some from his freezer0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

It sounds busy (and a little difficult at times). Hoping you’re getting some quiet time in the midst of it all.
The potentially booby trapped shed lock made me smile … 😉

Sya, your neighbours and wider community sound lovely. It is such a comfort to have people around you who pull together. The widow may just be old and living in the past a bit. It comes to us all and you were right to be generous and let it go. It will be so uplifting to see your DS and his gf, is it still golden child and puppy dog? Can't remember exactly what they were called but sure you will remind us when you see them x
