Oh lovely what are you going to do with it dia? I love it roasted, stuffed, soup, stews, curry, chips, chilli. It’s 12g carb per 100g, lower than potatoes which can be anything from 17.5, 21g, 25g or more depending on which website you use. It’s a lovely day here again.☀️ 18.5 degrees in my bedroom this morning. Not looking forward to it getting cold again next week. Off to the hairdresser this morning then popping in to see DF. Cajun chicken and salad for dinner tonight. Washing is just finishing and will be hung out to dry. I washed the spare room and bathroom windows yesterday. Today I will hoover the stair carpet later.Have a lovely weekend0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks for the BN squash comment SYA.
I'm going to roast some in the airfryer. I will also make a butternut and lentil dal.
I had results back from the GP and I am in a good range re BS and want to stay there!
I like the sound of your Cajun chicken

Sya, we also have an "avenue" close to where we live, a road lined with cherry blossom trees, around 6 in a row and they are a local spectacle. Soooo fleeting, but so beautiful 😍, such a spirit lifting event each year I look forward to6

For many years when I lived down south I never got to see the rows of blossoms in the garden of remembrance. You are right Tresinia it is uplifting. 😍It clouded over in the afternoon. DF popped in with some of the asparagus from his allotment 😋 Then the sun came out early evening so I dragged myself out for a 20 minute walk. Felt better after but still getting some pain in my leg from gardening last week so only a gentle walk to stretch it.
Sunny again so far this morning. Gas & Electric bill has appeared online 13 Jan - 13 April
Gas £142.61
electric £101.36
vat 12.20
total £256.17
credit remaining £59.29
Off to garden centre later with DF. Niece is coming to visit this afternoon with little one 😊0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Sya you seem to have the fuel bills down to a fine art! I can't get mine below £150 to £170 a month no matter how I try. I don't dare get them 3 monthly like we used to. Although we are on a direct debit, i still like to keep closer tabs on usage3

I was very pleased with my 3 monthly winter bill. I have the gas central heating on permanently in colder weather when I am in with the thermostat set at 17 degrees so the house warms up to 18 degrees and then comes back on if the temperature drops. I do not get cold indoors. I turn my heating off at night about 10pm when I go to bed. I rarely use my electric oven. My hob is electric. My shower / hot water is heated from the gas combi boiler. I have the mini dishwasher on about once a day and I use a cool quick wash in the washing machine for clothes a couple of times a week, hotter longer wash for towels and bedding. I charge my iphone once a day. Otherwise it’s just the dehumidifier, tv, fridge, freezer, slow cooker, kettle, microwave, hairdryer. Occasionally I use my electric steamer for veg and my hand blender for soup.My standing charge costs more than my energy use!Went to the garden centre and got niece’s little one a plastic mini kids watering can £1. It was his favourite toy today along with the dustpan and brush 😂 I also got 3 box files for sorting bills / paperwork 50p each, hanging basket liner £4.99. We had the fry up special 2 for £14 saving £1.50 with 2 free pots of tea. 😋0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
